letter Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Angus has posted prototype pics....if anyone sees any flaws send him an email puretime2005@gmail.com
letter Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 i think the marker on the left of the 10 on the inner bezel may need to be moved in ever so slightly. looks very good from what i can see. the strap is missing "IWC" on it but will the final version will be correct
Mickey Padge Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Looks nice Is it a slightly smaller watch than the IWC Cousteau?
Mickey Padge Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Hehe thought so. It's 2mm smaller than the Iwc Cousteau, thanks for the info and pictures sox123. I like the fact that it is smaller though, the Cousteau seems large on the wrist, at least it did on mine
eunomians Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Holy Shiiit, if that's what the watch is gonna look like, I'm ready to buy it right now despite the potential 7750 woes. 42mm is perfect for me. 44mm is too big.
Watchmeister Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I will know shortly. My CD is with Rob for a movement swap and relume (including the inner bezel). If it looks as good as I hope I am in. If you have ever gotten onto an elevator with a gen one then you know that Lume has to show like a torch - inner bezel included. I am not at home at the moment where I have my IWC reference materials so I will duck on the comments until next week. For all you IWC fans the Company made a fabulous 300 page reference book at the end of 2006. It is a must have for IWC fans (rep and gen alike - ). An AD was nice enough to give it to me while on vacation.
lfovco Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Ahhh, this is so awesome. This is going to be one to get.
k2222 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Anyone please tell me why there are no plans for non chrono version? What about steel brecelet?
arminvanbuuren Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Anyone please tell me why there are no plans for non chrono version? What about steel brecelet? i am up for 1.. but how much would this watch cost? 400 bux? coz if it is that expensive i cant afford it.. i hope its as much as the steelfish :S
ryaku Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Main seconds hand tip should be white. Put a correct date font wheel please, numbers are not like the eta fonts. Also numbers on outer bezel look a little too thick compared to the genuine. I do hope price will be reasonable.

k2222 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 probably 350$, like ingie first time, any idea how much is relume of this one?
Watchmeister Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 It depends what you mean by relume. To the best of my knowledge no one has relumed the inner bezel yet on a CD. Ziggy has mine and I have asked him to do it. Absent the inner bezel it is relatively easy and so it should be whatever the various modders charge. They can comment. It would be great if it did come in cheaper than the CD. IMHO, that would make it a must have. Between the Ingys, the GST, the CD, the Slevin and many others IWC has rapidly become a tour de force in the rep world. And this has all been in the space of less than 18 months. Rolex took 20 years. PAM took 2 years and are still improving. The product cycles appear to be speeding up.
sam_tgg Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 Kruzer, the inner bezel is lumed. Very very light, but is lummed (I have the watch in my wirst).
Pugwash Posted July 4, 2007 Author Report Posted July 4, 2007 It's a shame that Silix didn't get this one made, as I'd have got the first off the line, in accordance with the "dream rep" compo, but as it is, I'll be getting this one somehow. I'll be selling some watches to cover it as soon as pre-orders are possible, most likely.
rek001 Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 For those of us with slim wrists this is a dream come true, I hope it's done soon.
Watchmeister Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 I did notice the inner bezel is lumed as you say - very modestly and inconsistently. On the gen it glows as bright as the hands. That is why I am reluming it.
yellomen Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 Great watch... a definite must have... except no steel bracelet
Watchmeister Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 F- That is why it is called the Aquatimer. If you want a 42mm with bracelet go for the 3717 Pilot.
uziuzi Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 F- That is why it is called the Aquatimer. If you want a 42mm with bracelet go for the 3717 Pilot....or the steely Ingy. I prefer the Aquatimer on rubber so i am happy
Dani Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) The aquatimer comes whit SS on the gen and rubber the SS is the most popular option for the gen mod. Edited July 4, 2007 by Dani
