Everyone in Switzerland is a member of the Swiss Army (do they get free knives?). I think they are required to have weapons in their house by law.

No coincidence that Switzerland has never been successfully invaded? How do you subjugate a people if you have to wipe them out to succeed?

^^that could be the dumbest statement of all in this thread

not as 'dumb' as it may sound...

the reason the Founding Fathers made the 2nd Ammendment was to preserve the ability, in fact right, to form a militia and to protect the Country from enemies both foreign and domestic...ever swear an oath of allegiance to this Country?

not saying gee-bub is, but an armed citizenry is one of the checks and balances...like it or not...

I remember visiting relatives in Poland and Czechoslovakia in the '80s, and nearly all had guns for "hunting"?

Anyway...be glad that there are millions of guns in American homes. They're the only real thing keeping George Bush from declaring himself King, and invading Europe and Asia. :animal_rooster:

and that ain't no sht. read the patriot act

agreed, do you think it is strange that the europeans don't beleive that we should have guns? as i recall they were the reason we have this right to begin with. it doesn't surprize me at all. didn't we tell them at the end of a gun that we would run our own country and to leave? yep i'm pretty sure they are the reason that we have the second amendment. imagine that.

That's not it. You invade, they burn your money.

Or they press that secret button that screws up all the synchronised watches :Jumpy:

Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Not much of a check or balance nowadays. They just send in the army, or worse, use the media to tarnish your name and you can be dragged off with public opinion against you.

Now if only everyone raised up against Bush now... I can't ever see that happening though. :bounce:

......and a "real gun" (Mossberg 500a)... =) I guess it was only funny to me...

I thought clasifying the Moss 500 as a "real" gun was the funniest part of this thread. :bleh::lol::thumbsupsmileyanim:

Both guns and the people that own them suck. That's just my opinion. Sorry to offend, but I see no place for them here or any place else.

ROFLMAO....... history sure doen't support your theory!

Don't forget it was the Europeans that took a Chinese invention used to provide joy (fireworks) and adapted it to destroy.

I was going based on other's opinion of "size matters" and the fact that when people ask about my carry weapon and I tell them it's a Glock (not to mention usually a smaller model, although sometimes I go with a G29) the response is usually "isn't that a plastic / girly gun?"

=)

So now you have me curious, on what are you basing the 500 to not be a "real" gun??? Size / Price / Performance / Dependability???

What is your "real gun"???

These are girlie? Personally love my 27 as my conceal carry. It is a bit of a pain to shoot with it's short grip but the extended clip does take car of that.

Almost everyone on here will have a different opinion on fire arms. And and you can all argue as much as you want but no one is GOING TO CHANGE ANYONE ELSE'S OPINION on the matter.

Guns are like watches to me in the fact than I can collect them, modifing them, playing with them (at a range). I enjoy the hobby and I enjoy hunting.

You may think I am crazy or stupid for enjoying guns and hunting as a hobby (all be it a potentially leathal one) but some people think the hobby of collecting, moding and spending hundreds of dollars of FAKE watches is stupid too.......but you do it and enjoy it, as do I.

Gun debates are too serious for this forum. If you don't like the post just keep on scrolling by as the power is in your mouse hand. Lord knows I don't keep reading posts that [censored] me off or bore me.

But some of you enjoy a good debate and or argument, and if THAT is your hobby so be it. A "political playground" area on forums always bring forth good points of view and good arguments. I may not agree with most of them but I do have to give a nod to an opposing view that is argued quite well.

Now on to drooling over watches. :yeah::group:

What's with the pictures of guns?

I don't get it? Is it big and clever?

We don't have guns here in the UK so maybe I'm missing out on something?

We have knives, would that be cool if I posted pictures of watches draped over some big knives?

Or Knuckledusters?

I agree... coming from Canada I don't get it either (especially handguns, shotguns, and assault rifles - hunting rifles are a different story)

Yet you deliberately enflame the argument.

You like guns. I honestly don't care about that. However, like I've said, common grace and courtesy would have you stfu about them on a watch forum where several people have professed to having found them offensive. If we started posting medical procedures or hard-core porn, would you be surprised if there were an outcry?

I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion as the internet isn't the place for that, I'm just requesting a modicum of respect for your fellow board members. I don't care about guns or porn, but I feel some people are now too scared of the inevitable flames they would get if they decided to stand up for themselves.

[censored] like this makes people leave forums.

Stand up for themselves? Give me a break. If somebody doesn't like the content of this thread, they can choose to read some other thread and ignore this one.

Geez, if I take a picture of my watch by a rock, some numbnuts will probably be offended by the rock. This has gotten rediculous.

Point is, this is a watch forum..

Perfectly understandable how a person would get offended when confronted with a photo

of a death dealing instrument, when browsing for time pieces,...especially on an international

forum..

That old saying of 'don't like it,.. don't read it.' is what part of destroyed the cohesiveness of of

rwg1,... let's not make that mistake again..... Peace :victory:

No-one thinks you shouldn't have them ... we just don't want you flaunting them. :D
this tread started out to be the funniest thing i had ever read but it seems to have changed so i will only make one more entry. some people don't want us to flant them because they don't want us to have them and there is nothing they can do about it. this includes people all over the world even some in the us. the fact is i do have the right to have as many as i like and to talk about them as much as i like. with that said it seems to be frowned upon here so i will respect the thoughts of others in the community and i will stop talking about them. now let's see some more of the funny pictures!

Dang, I like glocks. So what's a man's pistol then ?

Though unlike my watches, sadly all the guns I have are replica's too (well more like high end toys), due to the laws in the country :( The replica's might lack the bang but they are still good fun to play with :)
