freddy333 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Wow, Zig, it hurts me to look at your picture, so I can only imagine how it felt from your end. Take it easy, avoid school zones & get well soon!!!!!!!!
Corgi Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I know it is a very serious injury and it is painful and traumatizing but dang if that isn't the coolest photo ever!!
vlydog Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Wow Rob, what a horrible story. One of my good friends experienced a similar fate by the finger of his one year old. I spent two hours with him today at the ophthalmologist. God's speed to you for a full and speedy recovery.
szvwj Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I hope it isn't as bad as it looks. It doesn't look like there's any blood inside of your eye, which is good (like I know what I'm talking about). I hope it heals quickly, take it easy.
Chicken Manny Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 No fun The Zigmeister. I can just imagine how stressful the ride was to take. For what it is worth, had something similar happen twice to my right eye and all ended well. If it's like mine it will take a while to look better but will start to feel better soon. I'm sure you could use the rest anyway. Speedy recovery!
SubFrog Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Zig, sorry this happened...but, you seem to be taking it well. We sometimes don't think about what we've got until it's damaged or gone (not saying you). But, I've seen this before and you'll be fine. The center of your doughnut looks fine. Get some rest and the swelling will go down soon...and stop the driving. That image is awesome...it's amazing what can happen to us and how our bodies react. Speedy recovery man!
drhydro Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 WOW. That hurt!... my worst nightmare is having something happen to my vision. Take care of that well, Zig- hope it heals soon. Damn, what a halloween photo....
Guest carlsbadrolex Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 All kidding and zombie jokes aside, that is a SERIOUS injury and I wish you the very best. T
Chino Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 too much poof poof and no much passing?!... with correct medication that should go back to normal from 15 to 30 days, feeling the eye a little sore and looking demonic... ... or wear a rasta wig and dress bobby marley like, maan... the best recovery for you, master.
abakan Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Rest and take care of your eyes, you will be fine as long as there is no damage to the internal compartments (no changes in eye sight is a good sign). Subconjunctival hemorrhage is not serious by itself when it is just a ruptured vessel that leaked blood. It only looks scary and can cause some pain because of the distention, but it should subside and you will be fine. If you experience worsening of your pain or any other symptoms, especially with eyesight, I would recommend to visit a doctor just in case. take care Alex
steelerfan Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Here's wishing a speedy recovery to one of board's good guys. Hope it heals quickly Rob!
jmt Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Wow Rob. So sorry to hear and see that! Looks like it hurts... Please do not worry about watch work... take care of yourself and feel better. We will all be here when you get back... and all wishing you the best in the meantime. Best of luck.

LegendofSpeed Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Oh my.... I just got the same feeling I got when Messi went down last year... you're confident that he'll make a 100% recovery... but still, you have feeling in the pit of your stomach... Best wishes and a speedy recovery...
a german in denmark Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 OmG, that hurts... Hope you get well soon, Rob. Best regards from Denmark, Volker
OCGene25 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 That's a bummer! I don't know how many similar close calls I've had because of, in my case, not paying enough attention. I hope there's no permanent damage and that you are able to recover completely soon.
