WM9 Z Serial Submariner (new pics)

Recommended Posts

Took a few moments out of the weekend to snap some new pics of the Sub smile.gif

Current modification list is as follows:
-Genuine crystal ring
-Genuine bezel washer
-Genuine bezel click
-Genuine bezel ring
-Genuine insert
-Genuine Cyclope 295C
-Genuine crown
-Old TW Best end links
-WM9 outer first link (without the ref no. stamped)
-Hollow midlink bracelet links from a noobmariner
-WM9 clasp

I'm not too pleased with these hands; those will be the next items changed, I think.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

R

Speechless :)

I have the WM9 Zserial sub, mine came with totally wrong Cyclops (monster mag. and misplaced too! ).

Is it easy to change just the Cyclope?

Would a replacement crystal (as seen on ebay) work?

Cyclops swap is easy, but I would go for

a Gen Crystal or good generic.

You got the heat it. Try a hairdryer (or if it aint capable try something heavier like a butanegas torch :animal_rooster:)

BTW

Nice Rollie! gen bracelet and tudor hands will finish this baby up quite nicely!

to which most guys will say...... " i can see this going well wrong" !!!

Another lovely Ubimariner. One thing that really stands out to me are the end links. They are fantastic. Boy do I ever need to do something about the end links on my sub!!

On the hands, I don't think they're too bad. But, I agree, that there are better hands out there. Some of the rep hands on recent MBWs are nearly identical to the gen sub hands, much closer than Tudor sub hands even.

This watch tries to replicate the (rarer) "flat S" (like an inverted "Z") dial that Rolex used in the beginning of the decade, would you consider it "bad" or is it a good replica of that particular dial?

There's nothing wrong on this rep dial.

Among all the rep dials I would put it on the same level of the noob one.

It's not so rare, also some modern subs have this dial.

I've seen this on gen Z-serial 2007 Sub, both SS or TT.

WM9 replicate a Z-serial Sub, so it's correct ;)
