alligoat
Man P, you've been busy lately! That dial in there now gives it the older 1016 look. Or is it the T-22 crystal that makes the dial look old? At any rate, very nice, congrats.
freddy333
If you swap that dial out & replace the crystal, me likie.

stilty
Gen 1016 springbars are not 2mm. part number 23-9293. shorter than the Submariner/GMT springbars, but definitely 2mm. I have a set in mine... 1016 springbars
rolex001
Damn, I mixed up - yes they are shorter but not thinner, you are right. Some people use them for overpolished 40mm cases were the bars already look through the lugholes.
Heywood
Nice work! Did you have a bezel for the 1016 or did you modify the bezel from the 16200?
pitimany
Moded the bezel with a lathe (0.2mm). Nice work! Did you have a bezel for the 1016 or did you modify the bezel from the 16200?

ubiquitous
Looking good! This is a great classic... Damn, I mixed up - yes they are shorter but not thinner, you are right. Some people use them for overpolished 40mm cases were the bars already look through the lugholes. Hmmmm... I sometimes like it when the bars are poking through the lugs a bit. Think it gives the watch a nice tool look to it... Like it's lived a life with purpose...
dieselpower
Love the 1016 will be nice to see it completed. I like to see bars in the lug holes as well - it says "I mean business"

automatico
quote = Gen 1016 springbars are not 2mm. /quote Submariner/1016 springbar plugs are about 1.2mm where they pass through the lugs and the center tube is 2.0mm. Allow a little clearance for the 1.2mm plugs when drilling the lugs.
zman
Quick q, did the tropic 22 fit in the 16200 case w/o any problems? thx!
automatico
A genuine rolex 25-22 crystal (or generic made to oem specs) will fit a 16200 etc case. A 25-22 crystal will also fit a 16000 etc case. A standard bezel for a 16200 etc will not press over a 25-22 crystal because the crystal has thicker sidewalls making the outer diameter larger. A standard bezel for a 16000 will not fit over a 25-22 crystal for the same reason. A 16200 bezel is taller than a 16000 bezel. The inside diameter of any standard DJ bezel will have to machined to fit a 25-22 crystal.
