  3. Dean, Generally the purpose of "freezing the 12 hour totalizer is due to the movement. The genuine Omega movement is a tricompax ( three working subdials). The movement that is commonly used in a lot of rep Chronographs is the Seagull ST19 which is a very solid movement that is built using the original tooling from the Venus 175, which Seagull bought from Venus back in the 1960's. The Seagull is a Bicompax movement , so it only has two working subdials. Thus the need to "freeze" the non functional subdial. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. Nice job! I'm not a big fan of the green lume of radium, but it certainly is period correct. 700 crown is also good- now all you need is a rivet oyster to complete the build!

  10. It's got to make sense, a franken is going to eat 5000 gen white dial is about 6500. Just keep the original dial with the watch and you are golden.

  13. Hi yall! Ive been craving for a speedmaster for a long time and have finally decided to get one. Im not very experienced with vintage Omega, any advice on what to have in mind / try to avoid when buying a Speedmaster?
