  4. it could also be the angle. the messy bezel is the least of your problems. the crown and the rehaut needs to be addressed. why are all rep gmt hands so thick?

  10. Just finished gen dial installation, which was accompanied by a hr wheel stem snapping off and staying with the chrono hand when I removed the hand and the keyless works breaking when I removed the stem. All back together and working with new dial installed. Miracle

  15. hmmm...somehow my final post and all the comments with it were deleted. very strange :-/ here it is again Alright gang so its all finally done! Here are the ingredients: All mods done by me *River 6154 case set completely reshaped *Daytona LPMM dial w/sec *NW Double Pencil hands *Athaya sub second hand, tail snipped *Hamilton vintage 920 (Swiss unitas 6497) completely overhauled and serviced *River Brass movt ring *River thick spring loaded bars *OPB text fill engraved display cb *8mm Brevet Rollie crown *T24 Moulded Tall dome plexi I took photos shoots with 2 different strap combinations. Special thanks to Stach from Stach straps and Rod from "BOX82" straps for custom making these straps for me. Many of you might know that stach has an injury and still took the time to make the strap for me using a slither of vintage goodness he had in the reserve tank for me. The stach strap was originally was suppose to be for my 6154 Rolerai, but that one was sent off to a new home before the strap was ready, so it might have just found its self a new home with the LPMM. A lot of time and work went in to this piece and I cant remember ever seeing a build using a Hami 920 movt, so Im pretty proud to possibly by one of the 1st to build with this? Without further adue, My 6154 LPMM w/ Secs- Hami 920 With Stach "845" vintage goodness, enjoy! Now with the "BOX82" strap made by Rod, thank you sir!! now to the goodness So guys what do you think? :?: Thank you all for looking and commenting, I truly appreciate it!!    Cheers H

  16. My guess is the date wheel is rubbing the dial, dial spacer, or something in the date works is not up to par. Probably will have to remove the dial to see what is going on. It may be an easy fix. Flip the dates around by quick set while looking through the date window and see if the date wheel is an even distance below the window all the way around. High spots can cause dragging on the dial. If the dw appears to be even all the way around and the date catches half way in the window all the time or now and then, it usually means there may not be enough tension on the date wheel locating spring or not enough 'kick' when it changes. If random dates catch half way in the window it is usually a date flip works problem. If the hanging in the window is random and you can lightly flip the case with your finger and the date goes from half way to complete change, it is usually date flipper trouble rather than dragging on the dial etc. note: All the above is an uneducated guess.
