the gen's not a bad purchase, can be had for as little as $2,300, service it privately with a watch smith that has an omega parts account and youre doing fine. they also hold their value above most other omegas (once you buy it second hand)

no WSO parts seem to fit correctly in my experience. last time i bought a T19 from them, a genuine insert wouldnt fit over the crystal, even their own insert wouldnt fit over their crystal. bezel assembly's that let moisture in is another issue with them

my thoughts exactly ive pondered ways that might give this watch any improvment; mercedes hands, lug holes, but i dont think they would be improvements in this situation. its balanced, simple, elegant, and understated. the only fault is perhaps no divers extension, even though most people never really use it. but the strap fixes that i guess. this is probably one of the best modern watches from a design stand point to come out of rolex in the last 10 years

those CGs come pretty thick on a yuki case huh 2783 is a bit different than working with a 2846, IMO the 2846 is easier to work with as the 2783 has more little springs that like to fly all over the place, also the 2783 has no bearings on the rotor and may or may not hack, most likely not

your watch has an eta 2824 with a rotor made to look like the 8602 the balance bridge is also different then what omega would put in their seamaster and the movement plate has no omega engravings, just generic eta ones

China rising, is the reason the droid market will take such a hit. some phones coming out of china like the one plus one, just make it impossible for other manufacturers to compete with the one+one $300 price tag. HTC, unknown manufacturer, and lets face it, people are brand fiends. they rather buy a Samsung S5 over the superior HTC M8 abd Sony doesnt exactly set the bar for stuff any more, even their tvs are made by Sharp. the xperia was also a terrible phone i checked out the iphone 6 while passing through bestbuy, for build quality next to the HTC M8 the iphone build quality is inferior, it seems more on par with the nexus, even iphone 5 seems more sturdy in your hand interestingly enough google is trying to shut samsung out of the android market to distance their reliance on their manufacturing capabilities. So samsung is predicted to lose upto 20% of the android market share this year. there is rumor samsung will try and launch its own OS/phone, something google does not want to be blind sided by. i am interested to see what the new nexus 6 offers (Nov?), it always brings the latest tech with a launch price of $350 anecdotally, i had accidentally sat on my galaxy S2 being in my back pocket during a long car ride, only realizing once i had reached my destination. expecting the screen to be cracked, i was happily surprised to discover it had no deformities or damage I can see why apple is such a highly valued company, their margins are pretty insane. http://www.techinsights.com/teardown.com/apple-iphone-6/ there is only a $20 difference between the 6 and 6 plus in parts costs, but the actual retail price is off by several hundred but in the end, buy whatever makes you happy some of us buy Rolex, some prefer Panerai, some like both! and a few like omega too

if my friend were buying $100 shirts and ours were both cotton, made in bangladesh i think as a good friend i'd have to convince him as a matter of principle, or at least try and understand his insanity. i have some ralph lauren cotton shirts i received at christmas, i have no idea what they cost, but i see no difference (cotton weight, stitching, pattern, fit) between them and the $9 hanes nano tees that i buy i think its frustrating when people defy common sense or logic you do have to respect apples marketing ability, they are the king of convincing you that you need something they make in your life even if apple sold ios for android people would still buy the iphone it was a brilliant move to sell mac computer systems with their OS, unlike microsoft that just sells software available on any computer system. it would be interesting to see ios8 on a $300 android benchmarked
