its a gamble as to what bracelet you ll end up with. several seem to be 93250 as well as being stamped largely. josh makes a point of saying he wont guarantee this. im afraid gen is really the only way the reps are all wrong
YES, i have personally tried and continue to use that giottos camera cleaning kit fluid and "magic" cloth for dials.
i have NOT tried the lenspen idea yet, but i may have found a dial im willing to test on.
rocido has always left a residue on glossy dials for me, using a clean piece and not touching the stuff at all. i actually find the indian made stuff "rub off (the blue putty)" to be better
spit left NO residue? this is contrary to what i know to be true.... if this is the case for you , you should bottle your spit and put windex right out of business
i have a new method i might try later it involves one of these:
http://www.lenspen.com
uses dry charcoal , safe for use on coated camera lenses and filters, ive used it on all my lenses without any problems, might be delicate enough for a gloss dial surface, i currently have no gloss dials im willing to try it on. the lens pen is also affordable at $19
probably wont happen, theres been talk in the past and i believe there even was a section a long time ago on the other rwg for some reason it didnt prove successful (?)
just get the cheap asian movement at least the beat rate is more correct. in the future you can upgrade to a slow beat eta if you want for probably $80
if youre going to buy this i dont really see a point in spening $ to dress it up, if you dont like the dial maybe change it, try raffles time he has cheap flake dials
hmm i wouldnt say the insert is gen but its hard to tell the details from the pics, pearl looks great tho. crown doesnt look gen either maybe a TC or wm9 crown?
MBK dial
hands are aftermarket for sure, possibly yukis
anyone know what length im looking for?
its one of these two screw lengths listed on the chart below.
i need the one that will fit the clasp link for the bracelet
its hard to do, the pinions arent just a symmetrical cylinder either, if you look closely enough theyre kind of vase shaped (inverted) and the second hand you will absolutely have to broach, im hoping maybe one day some one will offer replacement parts with these specs, like how they offer different heighted pinions, but not likely.
anyone know what rep bracelet screws fit a GEN 93150 bracelet.
ive tried WM9 v2 ones they stop short of screwing down completely im guessing the threading on the screw doesnt start early enough, ive tried PTs they dont even fit the hole, theyre too thin, ive tried some cheap rep bracelet same deal, maybe even noobmariner ones (im not sure), MBK 93150 ones, none seem to screw down completely
any ideas?
