Interesting watch story...nice work creating the helium escape. Looks a lot better than my first rep that I paid 200 for.

Great work,,,I'm putting sugar on the list,,,,looks great.

I'll take this one for 79 dollars,,,, http://www.wdd-business.com/Panerai/Panerai-7.htm

should be interesting, you hear so much about the el primero movement I'm curious what is so special about it.

I have one on order,,,,I just wish it had 24mm lugs. Other than that,,,,,,should be a pretty cool watch and should keep its value. I'm picking it up in person so I can check out the company, hopefully I'll get some pics and will post them.

I forgot who uses this, but it is something like "I like my reps,,,but love my gens". Really reflects my thoughts on the whole watch thing.

here is my experience. I got a new 111H from the AD for 3,900 plus 200 tax. About two months later my wife wanted to open her own business so I put it up for sale. First at 3,300 then 3, 200 then, 3,100 which it finally sold for. Keep in mind I also had to pay 100 for shipping since it was insured. So, I ended up paying around 1,000 to wear it for two months. I know most of it was my fault and poor timing, but if you watch the pams, you can find almost new 111's going for right around 3,100. The very cool thing is that if you buy at this price, you can wear it a while and sell almost at the same price. I would go on the paneraisti sites, find someone with a good rep and buy used.

No,,,but there is a lot of good martial arts in it,,,,,,,,,and one scene where he gets his balls smashed, actually that was a difficult part of the movie to watch.

Omega Railmaster Xxl - Can't Get If Off My Wrist

This is one of the best reps out there,,,,even with a non swiss movement, I almost never reset the time. And the lum is great,,,,,,I really wanted to get the gen for this one,,,,,but this rep makes you think twice. -
Bazz,,,,,,,nice combo,,,,,,I think I'll have to also get both colors.
-
actually took off the orange PO for this one today.

Excellent pictures,,,nice work. I noticed the orange around the triangle on your bezel is only on the right side, mine is the same. I'm not sure what is up with this as I thought the gen had orange on both sides of the triangle. Oh well,,,,,,,,just saw the new Bond movie,,,and now need to get the black bezel (I'm such a sap)

I have to agree,,,,I thought the cannon pinions on gen pams,,,look just like the eta out of the box...However, still looks good and nice detailed work.

LOL..funny stuff tech There are a lot of decent choices for a 1,000 but hard to find something of any real horological significance. I'm going to call Kobold and see if there is any chance of getting that watch any earlier or perhaps just be patient,,,I should be at my age... Or I might just play the lottery the next few weeks and see how that works out... thanks for all the suggestions...

I may like this one the most,,,,reminds me a lot of a pam base. The only problem is that even if I order today,,,del isn't till march which might be a long wait. Guess I'll check out some of the Fortis models..thanks

The logic I presented to my wife was clear,,,,my spending limit should be based on a thousand dollars per decade, for a total of 4,000. After some discussion we comprised. So, here are some criteria, total costs should be around 1000 usd , watch should have clear case back and nice movement to view, has to be 42mm or larger. Here are my thoughts so far. 1. One of Joshua’s tourbillions. Yes, it is a risk due to the complexity of the movement but his VC Malte Skeleton Tourbillon looks incredible, the kind of thing that you stop caring if it is a rep or not. A bit out my price range too. 2. The RXW, Plasmir milgraph with the hand wind movement and display back. Looks a little like a Panerai, but still original. Size is a little small but does have the cool gas tubes for good lum. (would probably have to buy used) 3. Ball Engineer master II diver. A little small at 42, but also has cool gas tubes, an inner rotating bezel and is a diver but no clear case back. 4. Kobold spirit of America, 44mm with nice display back and my favorite movement, the 6497. Also, the company is about 30 mins from my home and watch seems to have an interesting story to it. http://www.koboldwatch.com/products/watch_shots/soa1.htm

I think it was around 50 usd, I got on from Birdman,,,works well. I wish I had it when I was putting that case together.

Here are a few more.......basically as far as I can tell, the symbol looks pretty good. I would describe the AR as light, not as obvious as, say a Davidsen. However, the bezel isn't as smooth and the bracelet seems just a little less finished than the previous generation. vs. the last generation pros better AR Orange around triangle on bezel Better omega symbol thinner case slightly better case back better screw down crown, looks like gen. cons the older generation had perfectly smooth bezel, new one is nice but not perfect the older one had a bracelet with slightly better finish, smoother edges etc. Overall,,,worth the upgrade, IMO.
-
I ordered his case a while back and had no idea it would come in pieces. I got very lucky, I got both the front and back crystals and bezel on using a very cheap clamp from a hardware store. Also, I placed the case tube with the smallest part just in the case, then used my weight to press it in. I have a press now,,,much better way to go.

This just in from Joshua,,,,the ultimate 45mm PO. I just sold the last gen to upgrade to this one. I've only had it a few hours but very impressive. Decent AR, screw down crown is very smooth, correct omega symbol. More pics to follow....

I had this one for a while. IMO, it looks very cool in person but I thought the case felt cheap, the lugs are only held on with a screw and just never felt right. Also, you can’t wind it at all. The crown is perfectly smooth, so unless you have the rubber gloves on you have to wear it all the time.
