It wouldn't be difficult to raise the dwo, or file down the dial spacer a little.. Or use a dial space from a 2824 as they are a little thinner.

Mine never had a recessed date wheel. Never heard of it being a problem on Sea Dweller reps.

Just went round and round slowly with a Dremel and a sanding drum. Turned out not to be too difficult and the sanded edge is hidden by the case.

I put in TC dial and hands in my SSD and couldn't be happier. Very close to gen and long lasting lume. The dial isn't a direct fit though. You'll need to take off about a 1/2 mm all around. I don't know about the new ultimate SD as far as the size goes.

I like the idea of putting in spring bars to eyeball the location better. That's always a problem when you have to "guesstimate" the location. One big problem is what do you do when you see the lug holes, which may fit the bracelet perfectly from the inside of the lugs, are not at all centered in the location you need on the outside of the case?

That's impossible to tell really from that. The 21j Asian movements are mostly very quiet and easy to wind. The main thing is, if it winds and works OK, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

2761-2 works the same as any other manual wind. Same thing except smaller. It winds easy and smooth because it's a gen ETA, but should show a little more resistance as it's wound and the mainspring gets tight. Whether or not you need to wind it depends on your lifestyle. Do you move around enough during the day or are you a couch potato?

I use a clean artist's brush and a strong back light.

Nov. 8th is nothing if it comes into the US through NYC at the moment. Everybody's complaining about nothing going through Customs and packages taking weeks. On the other RWG, Luthier and I used to go at it like cats and dogs about politics and immigration. It sounds like you believe in one's life experiences as being the one and only measure of intelligence and not the amount of formal education that a person receives. You do seem to have a disdain for both public education and for higher education. And how "the little drones for your govement(sic) now they will provide all" fits in to the discussion is beyond me. I thought we were discussing the difference in education in the Red States vs. Blue States. You don't believe in statistics either, I guess, since that's all my post was referring to. I'm not an expert but I think the amplitude is high but not out of spec. Time Zone says not over 310 and my manual says not over 360. It will normally be lower in the other positions by up to 45 degrees, as I find the face up to be the highest. Also +6 seconds wouldn't bother me since I have found that that number also often runs less in the face down and crown up/down positions. Most often I would have my watches set to around that anyway. The lift angle I see set at 52.8 when it's normally set at 52 degrees. I'm not sure how that affects the numbers but probably it's minimal. You could ask to have it re-checked at the lift angle of 52. All in all, you're seeing a very short time period in just one position so it's not very meaningful but it's not showing any serious defects to me. Personally, I would take it.

Funny how time and point of view can change history. Actually Gore lost because the Supreme Court's right wing majority overturned the State Supreme Court's ruling that Gore won Florida. The people of Florida and it's court system elected Gore which should have made him President. That mandate of the people was overturned when the US Supreme Court butted in and in a 100% partisan move, took the election away from him and handed it to their candidate on a silver platter.. And, I'll give him credit that he accepted the ruling graciously, unlike our current and soon to be ex-Senator Alan West. Mike on a Bike> No hubris intended. I thought is was pretty well known that most of the South has a much poorer educational system than the rest of the Country. It was certainly that way when I grew up. Until I was a teenager, I was born and raised in areas of Mass, Md, and Va. When we moved to Florida, my father, who was a writer and newspaper editor, used to go on regular tirades every time he saw a sign or billboard with spelling mistakes, which was quite often. He was pretty much appalled by the quality of the public schools that his 4 kids ended up in. My 3 sisters ended up enrolled in private schools, as did my son when he got past middle school. That is one of the definite negative consequences of immigration in States that have a high immigration rate such as Florida. In the South, I believe that there are some great colleges and Universities. Unfortunately there are also some (not all) of the worst high schools where they graduate students that can barely read and math scores are on the 6th grade level. I think both statistics and Ronin's post will back me up.

It's kind of silly to talk about the popular vote since that's not the way we elect our President. Certain areas of the Country, i.e the bible belt and the farm belt are going to always be highly Republican because of the guns, God, and religion aspect. It's not going to change any time soon. But the people that have actually elected the president have spoken rather strongly that the less educated areas of our Country are not going to win any time soon unless they change either their attitude or our attitudes as a Country. That's unlikely. I found this rather amusing and just might have a touch of truth. Not meant to be offensive but hopefully interesting and kind of funny to some. Dear Red States: We're ticked off at your Neanderthal attitudes and politics and we've decided we're leaving.
