  1. Wow - excellent info and advice Lani.
  2. Cutting down on high salt food can help reduce water retention - that can sometimes be a few kilos right there. On the exercise front it has to be fun. More sex??
  3. Best wishes for your recovery. This is an interesting and serious topic. Screening is vital, but it's also important to be careful with what action to take because people can freak out when it's cancer. (I just mention this from family experience (no expert) - not everyone is a health care professional like Panerai153). The wider the screening, the more false positives there are. And the problems with unnecessary treatments have to be factored into the benefits. (It can be similar with breast cancer I understand). Surprisingly prostate cancer is often very slow growing (10 years+), so often they leave it largely untreated these days in older men, because statistically they're more likely to keel over from something else before this gets them*. Then they start treatment when it reaches a serious stage (like the fellow above). I know someone that has been 'undiagnosed' with prostate cancer, it turned out to be a viral infection (from memory) increasing the levels. The wait and see panned out pretty well there. [*i.e. The kinds of studies Panerai153 was referring to] The point is, upon diagnosis everyone was shocked that the plan was to do....basically nothing (but keep monitoring). Anyway, there are better qualified people than me to discuss it, I just thought it was something useful to keep in mind. It surprised me. None of which reduces the importance of screening and monitoring, just to keep a level head with the results.
  4. Kind of steampunk! I like it!
  5. The shop looks awesome!!
  6. Very cool indeed. What a great idea.
  7. Sweet!! Love it.
  8. Na - it's a race to Powermax....with boobies. (Congrats hackR!! )
  9. Congratulations!! Next step...POWERMAX!!
  10. Don't know the answer, but that doesn't sound too good.
  11. Get well soon. And hope the whole nurse thing pans out too.
  12. I thought I'd bump this thread since it was raised in another topic. The membership and original mod team of this forum (most still in the current team) used to reside on another domain prior to 2006, but when the admin of that forum disappeared and it looked like the bills would no longer be paid a rescue effort was launched which was this forum on a safer basis here. The members here 'are' RWG and always have been. It was just as well, because the old forum did end up disappearing and the database being lost. RWG meanwhile has managed to continue on a safer basis for our growing membership for approaching four years now. There are no links between RWG and the purchase of the old domain name by a (yet another) new forum.
  13. Seriously, you don't think Twitter hit 10 billion tweets without Victoria do you? (Pugwash was saying - she's on Twitter these days).
  14. Brilliant review - thank you!
  15. Congratulations!!!! Happy Days!!
  16. Makes the Egiziano look positively petite.
  17. Definitely a grail watch, but going to have to spring for a gen on this one. Perhaps the next 'milestone' birthday. Unless I get distracted by the notion of a boat...or a mistress
  18. They stole Crassssssy's Fax-a-watch!
  19. What a wristshot!!! I need one of these. (Gnaws wrist). [EDIT: Just noticed the post above. I've been in 2 BE ]
  20. Great shots!
  21. Awesome!! Are those different time zones on the lower clocks?
  22. Scotland still produces pound notes (perhaps for this very purpose!!). Or use fivers @Anopsis: gut feeling that the airplane impression probably won't help, but would be interested to see the results.
  23. I guess the upshot of the conversation is to take a roll of notes instead - to throw up in the air as chaff while you leg it.
