  1. The 2007 CD came out didn't it? An insatiable appetite for new reps though....
  2. That was a really great thing for her to do for you - well impressed. [Gets to work making wife a pair of shoes....meh, sounds difficult, screw it.....]
  3. Bias? What bias?! Your ugliest football team idea almost deserves it's own thread. If a team has one especially ugly member (Peter Beardsley, say), can that be compensated for by an adonis like Dalglish or Souness?
  4. If you eat it, wear it. If you don't, don't. (Munches away happily on another rubber and steel club sandwich....)
  5. Thread now upgraded to include posts:
  6. A NATO strap fan I see! Thanks for the insight into your collection!
  7. Your very own grease collector - doesn't get more hi-tech than that!
  8. One advantage of the Veyron is that it can go around corners too!
  9. The Fisher & Paykel dishwasher drawers look great - but I have heard (anecdotal) problems on the reliability front, two drawers twice the problems sort of thing. Possibly sorted out by now anyway. As docblackrock said - a great extractor could be cool, visually (from that angle anyway) it's the centrepiece of the room too. One area worth looking at is really great lighting. Most of the light in the room will presumably be coming from behind you and casting a shadow, so it can make a real difference to think through the lighting underneath the cabinets. The area by the cooker is appears to be depending heavily on the lights that come with the extractor, I don't think it would be that bright in reality. Unless, of course, your cabinets have superlume! Oh, and presumably the orange Formica worktop is a joke!
  10. Great Ingy.... Gee - almost like looking at my own wrist!!
  11. Odd choice of comparison. Anyone who sells volume can be jaded to the significance of each individual item - car salesmen, hotdog vendors... That said, they may still have a great passion for the items in general - cars or hot dogs. [incidentally, the duplicate topic was deleted ]
  12. And when Offshore says it was S**T, he does of course mean SOFT, as in SOFTware. As in, "the software was lovely."
  13. Great photos....you had me until you showed me the British meal! Seriously, the grass is always greener on the other side, as you say. That's why Florida is full of, well, vbarretts! Glad to see you had a wonderful holiday!!
  14. That's also Michael Jackson's excuse!
  15. Can I raise a practical point? Which is the time difference. In news terms, the news is the commemoration of 9/11, so for example New York's "tribute of light". But because of the time difference that didn't happen in France until quite late, and news channels often take coverage from US networks. So there often isn't news footage until the 12th September. The problem then might become that it is so linked to the date of the event, that it seems like 'old' news if that makes sense. Just by the by, almost a quarter of a million people died in the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004 - 75 9/11's in a single day. Tragedies are tragedies, ranking them seems almost futile - they become no less of a tragedy because they got 'trumped' by a worse one, if that makes sense. The point is certainly made that the victims of this atrocity and their families are worthy of thought, sympathy and reflection. That is indisputable.
