  1. I'm with Oscar, but something else to bear in mind...

If I discovered that he was wearing one of my favourites, such as a Panerai 111h, I'd simply have to dispose of mine immediately on general principle. Not good - I like that watch.

Overall, I think I'd rather not know ;):p

  2. ah, too bad - I was just convincing my gf to wear my sub - actually looks kinda cute on her - this size is just too small for me - I can wear it but it just looks a little silly

I'll find a large skeleton one day I'm sure :) maybe in my closet

I've seen a couple of PAM based skeletons at 44mm (which is about my ideal size these days), but they're pure fantasy, which put me off...

If I see anything else on my travels, I'll letcha know.

  3. i have to say his watches are so different to what we normaly see

and if everything works out ok i am sure buisness from here will come

now who found the place ? oh yes the same fooker that got us all to buy VCs :D

hahaha - well, I'm glad I've not lost my touch, anyhow :D

greg who surfs when he should be working

Of course. It's good being the boss :thumbsupsmileyanim:

While you guys were deciding who was gonna buy that monster I grabbed the last Adleron American Flyer that Werners had..

$128.00 shipped lousy picture on the site

but the fact that Adleron only made 100 of them I could not resist

I got the last one..:) Ill take some good pics when it arrives..also great response from WernersFlyingwatches

They emailed me within minutes of paying and stated they will ship tomorrow..:)

Cool! I was looking at that one myself - looking forward to the pics :)

  5. WHAT?!?! it's not a quartz!!!!

    something seems.... not right...

    I dig deeper...

Maybe - I've come across 35 jewels before, but not in something quite this cheap. However, as a company they seem to be legit - they also appear to have quite a lot of happy customers. I've been digging...

Interestingly, they seem to do a lot of business with WW2 re-enactment groups. They have a few special 'vintageised' watches for the purpose.

  6. I'm no IWC expert, but there's something very peculiar about that - just looks 'wrong' somehow. Maybe it's me - is it a fantasy model?

Edit: having had a bit of a Google - it appears to be a Portuguese perpetual calendar. The only problem is that - for whatever bizarre reason - it appears to have been built into the wrong case; a Big Pilot if I'm not mistaken. No wonder it looks odd.

  7. I reckon greg-r's looks pretty good, having seen the Gen and some reps, his is by far the best version given that the screws are the same colour as the rest of the case looks good to, the Lume looks well applied but its a shame its does not glow as I am sure thats one of teh things about this watch that set it apart.

I'd like to see the HE valve though. do you have any other shots. The one I found like this said it had mineral glass, how is the crystal on yours Greg_r, still good?

Im still liking this alot , but would like to see more please, come on guys there has got to be more than 1 member on RWG with one of these.

    ST4

The crystal on mine is mineral glass, but still looking just fine.

This is the only shot I have that shows anything of the HE valve, but it doesn't show the whole thing, I'm afraid. I'll try to take another shot of it from the right angle next time I have the camera out...

I like a lot of the other B&R models too - especially some of their more traditional stuff. Unfortunately, there's no reps of them... :(

  8. Oscar... Should I chew and put in your mouth???

I did my job FOR YOU, now YOU email her and ask.

    You're welcome.

MGI - that was uncalled for. A simple friendly comment like "why don't you drop her an email and ask - here's her email address" would have been rather more appropriate.

It is you, after all, who has been trying to persuade many of us to buy from your contacts. I know you're only trying to help the guys find good deals, and I'm sure it's appreciated (the only reason I've not taken you up on it myself is that I have my own contacts in China), but it's always been my experience that when you start offering to help, you can't just expect people to take the initiative, as it is YOUR word they're going by and YOU that they trust.

Not meaning to get on your case, but just a friendly suggestion that you might want to re-consider that post, mate...
