....your boyfriend sure has a nice "man"icure....
  2. I have the 03-92 and my wrist is about 6.5 inches.....its fit perfectly....I don't think the 01-xx models will look right on your wrist. Welcome to RWG! cheers
  3. Fantastic rolli.....another beauty!!!
  4. Please put me down for at least two.....maybe three but still awaiting on an inbound watch. Mine will be coming from Ziggy. AR email sent to Jennifer... Thanks
  5. Most if not all of my research on a BP alternative was done at both TZ and WatchUseek fora.....look in the German Brands forum on TZ and the Military/Pilot watches on Watchuseek...there is a lot of info already there and they all have their merits on which one is the best BP alt/price point/value etc....
  6. Beautiful....simply stunning....thanks for sharing..... WOW!!!!
  7. No doubt...for $460, its tough to beat amongst the many makers. I definitely "wrestled" with the various versions out there....I originally was going to get the same as golfman....but those are sold out...and I really wanted a handwind....just not crazy about an auto ETA movement in these "vintage" pieces... I think all the Steinhart models are reasonably priced and very attractive...yours is a winner for sure....I'm just waiting on the German holidays to end around the 7th I think before Gunther starts answering emails again....and I get this bad boy on my wrist! :-)
  8. Happy New Year Admin, mods and supporters.... The upcoming changes sound great and I'm looking forward to another year on RWG! Best wishes to everyone on a happy, healthy, and wealthy 2008!
  9. Gunther should have emailed you about the new watch....at least he sent me one announcing it.... Stinkin euro to dollar is gonna kill me too...but after looking at Archimede, Stowa, Debaufre, Laco...et al....I just decided to bite it and get this one....I love that movement!!! I love the size as well...I figure if it has to get sold down the line...it will retain its value. And I will never drop $10k on the BP....maybe $10k on a used PAM 233....so, this one is getting my money for sure. And Gunther reserved a very cool number for me....If you don't want to spend that kind of money than look over on the other fora for some other alternatives....seems there are a lot of fliegers out there at a fraction of the cost of the BP....
  10. Happy New Year everyone! Best wishes to you and yours on the new year....
  11. Well, since you did say PLEASE....and are we posting ON here or Over there.....hmmmmmm
  12. The problem with a lot of the thermal carafe models is that they all use steel carafes that taint the coffee with a steel/tin like aftertaste....I perfer a glass lined carafe and they aren't easy to find. Otherwise, I only make two cups at a time in my cuisinart glass model along with a couple of espresso shots from the Nespresso cheers
  13. I'm speaking from experience here.... Had a lovely rep LV Suhali for the misses after she fondled the real one in the LV store....long story short...I sold the rep last week as it sat completely unused for about a year....because momma no likey the fakey....soooooo...she got the real one...now that was really painful in the backside (my wallet) but oh well....bottom line...if you can keep the wife happy with the reps...perfect and we have a great dealer here that will get you all the goodies....ya know, to keep her in check....so that you can continue this hobby. when we all know its the women that have us in check....hmmmmmmmm.
  14. Hey Victoria.... Looks like I might have to break down and get a Capresso Z5 something or other....my friend just got one and man oh man..talk about L A Z EEEEEEE...that thing is really nice....but for $3k...yikes! ;-)
  15. I prefer the 231....the strap is garbage so you'll need to replace that right away...and it is quite the delicate operation...changing straps on rads sux mad ass....fookin OP needs to relook that foolishness....i don't know how many #^&$&(*&% swearin' and cussin' one can do when changin' those fookers but I have done it....
  16. Tough call....if you aren't wearing or enjoying them...sell them to get what you really want... Yes, those pieces are somewhat rare...but a gen usually trumps the rep....I was in the same boat a few month back....sold a few reps to get the gen i really wanted.... cheers
  17. French Press for sure....simple and makes the best full bodied coffee sans turkish style period. Stay away from bells and whistles...more moving parts means more chances for breakdown and repair bullshite....

While I can't speak for the Omega...I can share a similar experience with the rolex sub.... I already own a Two Tone Sub and always wanted a regular Stainless Steel model....So, last year, I bought a used one off one of the guys over on TZ....to make a long story short...I was very disappointed...it felt very light, cheap and just not at all what I had expected. I compared it to the reps that I had and was extremely let down by this gen....no fault of its own...as I had "built" up the watch in my mind and when I finally had it...total letdown...not trying to put it down...just my experience with Sub... Luckily for me...I sent the watch back to the seller as he offered a "no hassle 3 day return policy" and I received my money back.
  19. Very nice collection and photos....thanks for posting and making me want a Cartier Santos....forgot about those classics!
  20. So, you're not in love with this gem offered from PC?
  21. Yes...I would love to see the BP done correctly....but until that happens...the Steinhart LE Flieger with center seconds in at 47mm is very nice although it ain't cheap....almost 1900 bux.....
  22. I would like to see the Lange 1 AP ROO Navy Roger Dubuis Golden Square Small Seconds And for the love of god and all that is holy...please fix the AP ROO seconds at 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. If its one and only one PAM to get...I vote for the base.....the PAM 112.... cheers
