Thanks for the reply, I will try that one. his old Flat dome was a perfect match and it even kept the case waterproof, sadly He is out of stock. Regards
I have a MBW Sea dweller, I am in need of a flat dome or super dome aftermarket, I had tried Clark's but his superdome outer diameter is too small and the crystal ring is loose. Thanks
Most of the reps sold by trusted dealer can go in the water and even diving, I took a Tudor last month to Belize to 133 feet into the blue hole. I have dove with omega, Rolex sub and sea dweller 1665, bretling, omega, panerai even gmt Rolex. none of them have an issue going under water and I am not talking about a shower.
DBane, you are correct about that. I guess I should had asked who ahs the best rep version. hahaha. I saw the price on one of the trusted dealers site $400 plus!!!
Is you looking into doing conversion from 1655 to 1675, I have what you need. Been working on this for a while at the end I realized that only a Gen 1675 will do it for me. this is almost done. the only issue I have is that I can't get the stem back in the movement watch. you may need to source another movement. case has been worked to look more like a 1675
Gen Dial
Gen Crown
2mm log holes
WSO complete bezel
DG movement and Hands
Cartel 1655 bracelet
The insert has been faded
that is an inaccurate statement, I have the black bay and I took it for a scuba trip. right out of the box. just make sure that the crown and the case back are secured and you will o.k. Also the TC, Omaga PO and the panerai. have been in the ocean and the pool. not issues here
Dbanes883 I disagree with you assessment, this has happened to me specially when is very humid, coming out of A/C room and going out to a warmer place and humid. it will flog if the crown is unscrewed, just leave in the sun and it will dry out then close the crown and you should be good to go.
Hi,
I have not been active in a while. now I have the bug again and I am trying to finish these two. I am wondering is someone has a pair of Chinese movement rings, that all I am missing.
Mine had the same problem and you need a new crown, it came that way from TC. buy I did not wanted to waste time. so I replaced it with a Gen one. Problem solved
it has been like forever since I posted here, I am looking into adding a new watch to my collection. A Tudor Heritage Black Bay. Has anybody bought one of these and there is any review, who is the best one to buy from, or do all the dealers have the same one.
Also My membership renewal did not go thru the last time, so I do not know how to renew.
Regards
Cyb
I have a ETA GMT and two of those DG movements if you are interested. I gave up trying to build this watch, I have a gen Dial too. I am too picky for this one. my main issue was the alignment of the dial, there is little room if not any for error.
Good luck with your build
