  1. looks great (& familiar too )....congrats on this watch -- she's a beauty deltatahoe
  2. there was a good thread here about the best subs currently available.... deltatahoe
  3. x2 on the speedmaster moon watch (old version).... deltatahoe
  4. i got an email from him yesterday....
  5. wow -- looks great. i like the combination of ss and pvd/black on this one -- very nice. quick question (hard to see from your picture) -- is the rotor engraved or does it have stickers? congrats on the new purchase deltatahoe
  6. it could be photoshopped (or an overly long exposure), but the lume on this one doesn't look half bad.... deltatahoe
  7. yeah...i'm guessing those teeth are just a reflection of the crown off the case.....good point also ravishingrick re: the crown guard lever deltatahoe
  8. hmm....this watch could fill the blue-dial pam void that the pam 252 north pole abandoned project left in my collection.... i think this watch will look great on a greg stevens horween marina militare strap deltatahoe
  9. hi joe, email your collector -- they will advise you on what to do. mine preferred that i send it back to china to be repaired; maybe yours would prefer you have a local watchmaker look at it.... deltatahoe
  10. you change the date on this one by turning the crown anti-clockwise (ie. the opposite direction you would normally turn the crown to wind the watch). that being said, mine from angus came with the exact issue you described (prompting a return trip to china ) hopefully yours is working fine & we can just write this one off to user error congrats on the new watch!! deltatahoe
  11. i'll pile on and vote for the 03-92....just the right size for those of us that don't have gorilla sized wrists EDIT to add: i'd also go for the ss model (unless of course you spring for the ajoesmith genuine pvd coating as magagne mentioned). deltatahoe
  12. @vic, thanks for the reply on the mukka....you confirmed my suspicions re: cleaning & the fact that it is asking a bit much of a single machine/device to make a good cappucino with the push of a button....it sounded suspect; you know what they say about things that appear to be too good to be true except of course AAA swiss top-notch quality replica watches!!! looks like i should give the aeropress a shot though deltatahoe
  13. i saw that bialetti a couple weeks ago and am thinking about giving it a go.....what are your thoughts vic? in addition to how the coffee turns out, i'm curious about build quality & ease of cleaning.... thanks in advance, deltatahoe
  14. so i heard back from angus a couple days ago about this piece; unfortunately the news is not good.....here's his response to my inquiry: ---------------- This watch project was created by the HBB maker, but the SSD maker dominates the A7750 GMT movement so the HBB maker cannot continue this project. ---------------- so it looks like they can't continue this project because the maker of this watch can't source the movements maybe it will be resurrected at some point in time.... deltatahoe
  15. white Christmas indeed. looks cold there dluddy merry Christmas to you & yours deltatahoe
  16. you've got to be kidding me. that is ridiculous. i've heard of bears climbing sheer walls to get beers, but moose climbing telephone poles to get.....electricity? deltatahoe
  17. a screw in crown is one that has threads such that you can literally screw the crown down into the case (for purposes of helping keep the watch waterproof). all crowns are used to wind a watch  deltatahoe
  18. i sent the guy an email letting him know it is a rep; will be interesting to see his response....he said he received the watch in a collection he bought; hopefully he wasn't duped on this one deltatahoe
  19. if you like the 183 and are looking for a dressy pam, my suggestion would as follows: i) get a 183 w/ the new asian swan neck movement, ii) at the same time order a replacement crown & tube from davidsen iii) send everything to ziggy for relume, crown/tube replacement and cannon pin fix iv) pair with black alligator watch boys strap now you've got yourself a 99% 183 rep (with the most obvious remaining flaw being the shape of the lugs) here's my 183 (now that i look at this picture again, i believe it is pre-mods outlined above).... deltatahoe
  20. thanks for the compliment scoobs it's actually a modded rep. originally from EL, with ziggy superlumed dial, chieftang cyclops and finepics datewheel...i got it as part of EL's 10 days of deals last Christmas; maybe EL included genuine hands as a special Christmas present deltatahoe
  21. welcome to the 1675 club kingkitesurf i'm certainly no expert, but it looks gen to me. your has very nice, consistent lume across the hands & dial -- very nice choice (although as i mentioned earlier in my post i prefer the cleaner, minty fresh look). the flimsy folded bracelet certainly has a different feel -- put together with the slim profile of the 1675, it makes for a very unique watch... again, congrats on your new piece  deltatahoe
  22. i've just emailed angus to find out about the status of this watch; i'll post here when i hear back from him.... deltatahoe
  23. davidsen offers replacement crowns & tubes; i had an issue with mine out of the box so i had ziggy take care of it for me. it's not an expensive mod, but not one that i'm qualified to do. smooth as butter ever since deltatahoe
  24. hmmm...good suggestion supermoves. these books make good coffee table pieces deltatahoe
