  1. Finepics, I think I am coming around to your way of thinking....

    PAM001, PAM192, PAM196, PAM029, PAM063, PAM127, PAM036...

and now after kinda scoffing at you when you said you were loved the PAM212 you have, I am now thinking of getting this too! Paneritis ahoy! I am thinking of the Asian 7750 version as the back is more true to the genuine though if you convince me on an ETA 7750... :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Anyway back to the thread, I hope to get a PAM187 as well someday... if they ever release it with ETA 7753 and at a decent price... say the price of the ETA 7753 PAM188/196s :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  2. I assume you are talking about gens...

But I do get your point on the 187. I am staring at your pic of the gen with the rep on my wrist and it is pretty amazing. If they ever make a 7753 version there is no point in buying gen. On this one the case, crown, cg, etc. is truly CNC'ed.:)

Is it possible to get an ETA 7753 and fit it in to the 187 rep case you have with no problems?

  3. Agreed - great deals and service from silix-prime and watch. The only downside is that they can take some time to reply to emails, but of course the prices are cheaper.

The reason for cheaper prices? Probably lower profit margins. Maybe they sell more volume, or are happy to make a lower profit than other dealers? Maybe their wholesale price is a lot cheaper than other dealers?

  4. what model is that panerai???

PAM212 (1950 Flyback - it says so on the dial). I may get one from silix with asian 7750 movement. Looks most accurate but on the fence at the moment due to the movement. ETA 7750 is undecorated and costs more than double I think... :o

  5. From what I understand - and please correct me if I'm wrong - there were moderators there who are also moderators here, and they were locking threads to move them over here , without new posts being added all day, as well as possibly stopping Gran from deleting them (not sure about the last one as couldn't Gran unlock them first and edit or delete them?).

On a lighter note, Gran, why do you use that name ? Here in the UK, gran is another way of saying grandmother or grandma :Jumpy:

  6. LOL - I can't figure out how you got 58...I don't quite understand the strategy of that game.

And yes, there are many games that I won't win - in fact, if I don't have the high score by now, I probably won't. Nice to have a lot of free time at work :)

Sorry for the OT, but congrats on your new watch admin.

I've managed to get 58 twice now. There are 58 hexagons on the board. I guess it's a little luck as with all games. :victory:

  7. Hmmm.

When the dumb (thick) kids get some celeb and/or money they'll be wearing the watch with the right name on - just like they have to have the 'correct' cell/mobile or mp3, or 'trainers' (the Scots here will know what I mean).

    Quality, man!!

It's not only the Scots that know what trainers are!

By the way I'm south of the border :thumbsupsmileyanim:

But I'll be up in Newcastle next weekend :Jumpy:

  8. I guess it is the sign of the times- but what happens when your cell phone battery dies...does time stop for you?? :whistling: Find me a cell phone that will last longer than my 30 year old Speedmaster and I will stop using a watch. The cell phone is a disposible appliance, but I do check my watch against it especially when I travel.

So maybe this is the solution? :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Is that a GMT cellphone ? :Jumpy:
