It's the only watch I brought with me over the pond and have been wearing it solidly for 8 weeks now. I can safely say it is a great watch for a daily wearer!

Well I haven't participated in a wrist check for a long while so here is a shot taken at Canada's Mont Tremblant Race circuit where they held a GT race. In the background is a seriously fast NSX (had forced induction), and also a Porsche GT3 Cup....

I just don't like this design at all. I thought I would warmt to it the more I saw it, but it just looks like it has been designed for designs sake....The previous Seawolfs were great looking Breitling Divers, this just looks like a generic watch to me. My 2 cents only of course

Think I'll wait for V2

Just spoken to my dealer of choice and in the next few weeks this will be available in A21, Asian Clone and ETA versions....am now trying to clarify whether that means it is the same watch with different movements, or whether it is a different one with these options available.

Saw some comments on the other forums and the main flaws they have picked up are; Logo Bezel numbers are a bit grey (gen more white) Clasp engraving not as deep Overall though it looks a pretty good replication. Rumour has it from Trusty there is another 1:1 version on the way and this is the lite version...I personally wouldn't hold my breath as it always seems to be 2 steps forward s steps backwards in the rep game. For 228USD this looks really very good, and I am considering buying one myself. I'm not a big fan of the look, but there is something attractive about the heritage and what this watch stands for

Very nice! I heard the V3's were supposed to have a green AR, but the AR on this one definitely looks correct (blue/purple) to me. Which dealer did you get this one from?
-
Very nice pictures! I love the dial on this Tag, the off white/silver really makes this a looker

Have a good one everyone, sorry I couldn't join you from Montreal this evening! Looking forward to the pics

Flashbacks of the Super Avenger Blacksteel hype!

Just read this with interest....will the RG colour come off of the serial bridge if it is rubbed down using a scotch pad?
-
He sure did. I really liked this film, you could really see some of his JKD principles shining through in the sequences As for Snatch, it has to be one of the best gangster films ever, love it!

Great post By-tor....my taste in watches really has become very similar to yours, because I consider each one of those a classic! I really miss my Exp2 (it was a bad decision to sell that one!) I really do need to get hold of one of those Ebel's, I have read all of the great reviews, now I think it's time to try one! BTW, have you tried the new Aquaracer yet, I think it's one you might enjoy

Thanks Andrew, certainly looking forward to being over there! I have just checked the itinery, and it says the apartment has cable TV. Is it like the UK though....we have Sky TV, and you have to pay extra for things like Sports and Movies, or is TSN one of the normal channels on Cable in Canada? As for the Canadian GP...it was one of the first things I booked tickets to

So tomorrow I am relocating to Montreal for six months with work. It still seems a bit surreal, and Im sure it will become more like reality tomorrow when I am on the way to Heathrow. Firstly, I know we have a few Canadians on this board, so if anyone fancies meeting up whilst I'm over there let me know. Secondly.....I am an avid F1 fan and it is the one thing I watch on TV that I just can't miss Is there anyway of steaming the F1 over there, or is it shown on the normal Canadian channels? Thanks for your help

It's a really good point here By-tor, and unfortunately I dn't have to read through all of the rpelies just yet, but will endeavour to later on as I feel it is a very itneresting topic. Having owned watches such as the UPO and its gen counter part, an SMP gen and the rep counter part, the differences are there and the gens are definitely of better quality..... HOWEVER, the new 'super reps' really have moved the benchmark upwards. My replica of the Tag Aquaracer is every bit as good as the genuine that I handled in the AD. It's ust absolutely brilliant for the money. I bought a gen Navitimer recently, and everything operates really smoothly on that, but like yourself Bt, it had a small glitch on the AR,and being one of my 'grails' I have sent it off for an AR coating with Domenico. If I prefer the genuine AR when it's back, I will take it to Breitling for a new crystal, but I thought I would explore the cheaper option first. Back to my discussion of gens vs reps, although the Breitling is finished to a higher standard than my reps, it really isn't enough to justify the price differential.....and my point here isn't that luxurious goods aren't worth the money, my point is that for the money of a rep, you really do get a bloody good bargain and that the small glitches are worth living with, and to be expected at this price point. The only watch I have ever owned that really stood apart from the reps and gens I have owned is the Ulysse Nardin. the attention to detail and build quality is just beyond belief. In general though, the difference between the rep and gen is actually very small.....it is just small things that are different, and for the money, enjoy the replica hobby because we really are in the age of the replica compared to when I first started collecting four years ago. I feel because some new members haven't seen the transition from 'average reps' to 'super reps', they take things for granted sometimes and expect perfection from a Chinese built rep.

Not sure I can say that I like any of those. The Skyland and Montbrillant look good, but that's only because I like the originals...the new designs look a bit....tacky to me
-
Absolutely stunning! This is my grail of grails

Plenty of UK members on this board now. Im going to be doing the opposite though, Im going from the UK to Canada in a few weeks

Very nice picture By-tor. Having owned a few reps from the Avenger series, I can safely say that the Skyland is the one I like most. It seems to sit on my wrist better than any other Avenger I have tried....that may change if I ever get to try on a Ti Seawolf though
-
I am speaking very sepculatively here, but when you get into the realms of VC and PP, the build quality and feel goes through the roof. I owned a UN MMD, and that isn't in the leagues of the aforementioned, but the build quality was beyond anything I have experienced before. Everything is just so precise...I can't quite explain it. So I would say that even though the VC and PP reps may have the build quality of gens in general, they would not have the build quality of the actual VC/PP gen it is replicating.
