  1. It's an interesting point. I believe the only reason that it is considered more sensitive to call anyone other than a white person by a 'politically incorrect' name is due to the history associated with it. By that I mean historically, there were massive racism issues where certain races were greatly surpressed by white people. Therefore, because the world has worked towards trying to improve that position, anyone using a 'politically incorrect' word against another race is seen as a racist (in some peoples eyes). However, because the white race hasn't historically been surpressed as a race (ok there are examples of it, eg Zimbabwe), but in general calling a white person a 'honky' doesn't have as much of a historical impliction, and therefore it is less 'policitcally sensitive' to do so. I myself have no problem in calling people black, white, asian etc... I would refrain from using words that are seen as derogatory, not because it wouldn't be politically correct in doing so, but merely because of common courtesy and politeness. I do feel that there is a general feeling that there is some kind of positive discrimination (discrimination isn't the right word, but racism doesn't sounds right) emerging, but I have plenty of black friends who in actual fact don't have a problem being caled black etc... because that's what they are. It is interesting to note that I find more white people find it outrageous to call people black etc...
  2. Looks absolutely stunning on the NATO
  3. Yes, I owned one of these, and the only real diiference was that it came with a scratched caseback, apart from that it was a very good Sub! You may find that yours comes with a slightly different flaw, but Im sure george could make you aware of the possible defect before shipping. Check out the review of it in my signature.
  4. I've also just taken delivery of a Ceramic GMT2. Il get snapping this afternoon and post some pictures. It is a really nice watch, especially when you get it outside in the sun, the bezel and the dial can be seen in all it's glory in bright sunlight! Having owned the Submariner, the maxi dial looks a little OTT in comparison, but I'm sure it's something Il get used to. In all, it's a great replica!
  5. Not at all, it was only on the close up that I noticed it. I play tennis myself, and cannot imagine wearing a watch whilst playing....especially something of that size! It's similar to Serena Williams, she plays wearing a necklace and dangly earings...now I couldn't imagine wearing my dangly earings whilst playing tennis!
  6. Something similar to this;
  7. Watching that here in the UK too....I noticed he has a TW Steel sponsor on his shirt sleeve, so it might be a watch from that brand. .....come on Federer
  8. Zigmeister did a full tear down of the movement, and found that the main problem with the mvoement was the state that is comes in from the factory. If you have it serviced, and graphite treatment applied to the central gear, there is no reason why it shouldn't last another five years. Then get it serviced again and it should last another five years
  9. Such a difficult one to answer this! I would have to draw from a hat, and in the hat would be the IWC 3714, GO Sports Pano, UN MMD, Breitling Navitimer and an AP ROO Rubberclad.
  10. Very nice! You have some excellent photography skills, the ones of the Milgauss have inspired me to wear the Milgauss for the weekend coming up!
  11. +1 The GMT looks like the best version around at the moment, I really need to get my hands on one of those!! The Milgauss though isn't the latest one, the crown is massive on the one pictured Try and ask for the supposed 1:1 built with genuine version.
  12. Looks good to me. The lume dots aren't the best, but that is something that we have to put up with on this replica.
  13. Nice find. I saw one of these for sale a few months ago, and assumed it was based on the SA chassis (assumption based on the SS case) Thanks for the information Andreww!
  14. It was me I want to post some pictures, but the people in the know at Photobucket have said I have exceeded my bandwidth until later this week The markers and hands are indeed blue, similar to the IWC Porto blue hands and numerals.
  15. Im also eagerly anticipating the silver one, I hope they get the finish of the dial right! Really hope they fix the open caseback too, that's not something that we can mod ourselves
  16. They've just listed these on PC. Not sure why they have used an open case back though http://www.jpc8118.com/0013c-p-7144.html
  17. .....who does luming in Canada....... The Zigmeister himself is rumoured to be native to those hereparts
  18. A member over on RG has just received theirs; http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=75822
  19. I never knew about this feature....does everyone know that grass is blue....
  20. That is a real beauty. Not only is the watch a stunner, but that box set looks fabulous!
  21. Im not affiliated with this Ebayer, but saw this on there and thought it might be of some interest to any members here who might be interested in modding their Noob Exp2's.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-GENUINE-OLD-REPAIR-PARTS-EXPLORER-II-DIAL-HANDS_W0QQitemZ270447807386QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL?hash=item3ef7f20b9a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  22. Thankfully I am very lucky and work doesn't interfere with my weekends
  23. Can't believe it was almost a year ago that this was first started....and yet again Il join you, even though my Saturday has incorporated watching the F1, listening to Liverpool v Bolton, and then to watch Arsenal v Man Utd....a truly lazy Saturday for me. I've twisted my ankle which means I get to take advantage of no training this weekend
  24. I have a couple of friends who have this watch, for the money they are a great little watch!
  25. With regards to the Breitling Bentley's, the best version to go for is the 6.75 big date. They do lack AR (double AR) but this can be coated if you want to add an extra dimension of authenticity to it. Here is a link to one of the dealers, but you can get them cheaper elsewhere; http://www.jpc8118.com/bl02060-bentley-date-chrono-brown-a7750-sec3-28800-p-3682.html The smaller 44mm has a rehaut width issue, as in it's too wide (the part of the dial on the outside that turns, kind of like a side wall) On the 48.7 and Motors T, the date wheel is sunken, and there is no 30second Chrono. There are flaws on all fo the Bentley reps, and it's just about picking the ones you can live with. The 6.7 is the most accurate of them all though.
