  1. I'l join you with the Rolex wristshot;
  2. The colour scheme is much nicer in my opinion. I just tried opening the forum home page using the newer IE, but it still freezes. No problems using Firefox though.
  3. It's a great watch, just a shame about the movement. Try graphite treatment, or frezzing the running seconds for long term use. Also, hack the movement (pull the crown out so it stops) when you're not using it to prevent unecessary wear overnight etc..
  4. Ooohhh this is nice. I think this is one of the nicest Rolexs that anyone can buy
  5. Offshore, thanks for the tips. Just installed Firefox and it's working like a well oiled machine Anyone having difficulty I would fully recommend Firefox web browser!
  6. I have IE...not sure which version though. The computer recently did some upgrading to the latest IE, but not sure which one that is. It has some new smart address bar that searches automatically as you type etc...? I may try Firefox, I have heard good things about that!!
  7. I can't seem to log in directly, if I go to the forums home page which shows GD, Sales Section etc.. it crashes, so I have to open my messenger and then press New Posts to see what's being discussed
  8. Well having been an Explorer 2 owner for some time now, I thought it only proper that I should post a picture of it in the official thread and bump it to the top @Dluddly, if you ever wish to sell your white dial franken, I'l whip it off you in a flash! I have never owned a watch where I would consider buying two merely to own a different colour of the same watch, but this Exp2 is just so perfect that I really wouldn't mind the white one too. My thoughts on this watch having owned it for some months now are; -It fits my wrists perfectly -It combines elegance with sportiness -It is very comfortable -I love the heritage, and it's place as an iconic watch among Rolex fans -Did I mention that I really like this watch
  9. It's weird isn't it, to have two such similar incidents in such a small space of time! I haven't read the full report since watching the qualifying, but if the debris was in fact from Barachello's car, it's strange that it was still bouncing around the track as Barrachello was a long way in front. Also, there was no other driver in sight of Massa from who the debris could have flicked up off from! Certainly a freak accident.
  10. I was watching the qualifying here in the UK, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the footbage of Massa in the tyres and not getting out of the car I really hope that he makes a full recovery and gets back behind the wheel of the Ferrari to compete soon, he is such a talented driver.
  11. Not a stupid question at all, but I am not sure whether it does or not. It wouldn't be too hard for the factories to make one as it is just essentially a box that takes the electric charge away from the watch movement. Oh By-Tor....the silly thing is, I am already looking at which should be my next I have the SD on pre-order, so I may just hang out for that one now and maybe have a look at one of the IWC's from the Pilot's range or even a GMT2c....we'll see though.
  12. Hey everyone, just got back from a weekend away so sorry about the late reply! I too was shocked when the lume came through as blue on the orange markers, it looks pretty cool. However, the lume shot makes the lume look favourable, but the lume does not glow brightly like superlume would. The picture was taken after a full charge....it can be read all night, but it doesn't glow like superlume. This particular watch is the Asian copy, and it sweeps very nicely and saved me a few bob too I wore this watch when I went away, and after 4 days of solidly wearing it I must say, this is another Rolex that has gained a strong place in my collection..... So comfortable, so simple and yet so beautiful. I really would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have one, it strikes the perfect balance between being sporty and being classy in my opinion. Along with the SMP, this is one great watch to buy if you want versatility!!! PS - Ive also updated the links in my signature so hopefully they should link to the correct palces now.
  13. A big thank you goes to PT here in the UK for the outstanding service as usual. If you are in the EU, I can fully recommend that you use him. The Review What
  14. Great pictures! What an event to be a part of for free!!
  15. That annoying infamous coating......I think the factories saw the potential of your AR coatings and put it on there just to throw a spanner in the works.....conspiracy theory....moi.....never haha
  16. Yes Robbie really did make this something of an icon on this board! There isn't a replica available of this model as yet (well, not one that is worth buying anyway) There has been some hype of one being in the pipeline, but we'll have to see. There is a repica available of the newer Maxi Marine Diver Chrono; Yes Bytor, feel free to move this wherever you feel most suitable, I wasn't sure so I just shoved it in the GD Perhaps the "Other Watch Reviews" might be most suitable!
  17. lol it's funny you should say that because I couldn't understand why my arm looked so red in the pictures! They're no where near red in normal lighting, I've had this a few times where my hands look pink in some of my pictures!? It might be the auto levels etc.. that I applied in PS @Laz - thanks mate, it is truly stunning
  18. Thanks everyone, I am really pleased with this one, can't take it off @Ammandel - I did have difficulty in capturing that watchas I see it through my own eyes. Whereas with my other watches I find it fairly easy to capture how it appears in real life, I found this one very difficult to photograph and show how it really looks. As for the review, I tried to be a little more objective in this one, so don't let that fool you about how much I love it ....however, I do find myself eyeing up those damned Explorer 2's now haha
  19. Before I begin, I would like to thank Lazarini for providing me this watch in the first place, communication was great throughout and even after I had received it, he continued the great communication, he is a real asset to the community
  20. I know it only seems like yesterday that I read that PM.....Domenico does his high quality work within good deadlines!! I really do need to get that gen crown for mine at some point, it makes all the difference! Thanks J, been enjoying it all day long
  21. It's a great result for the Red Bull team as a whole, but for Mark Webber personally....I am estatic for him. He is such a gentleman on the race track, as well as off it. Having been at the top of the game for 8 years now, he thoroughly deserves his first GP win....and from pole position too, that's the cherry on the top....oh and serving a drive through penalty and still winning, that'll be the second cherry on the top
  22. Wow J, that looks brilliant! You certainly have one of the best modded Explorers on the forums, wear it well!
  23. I think the new Chrono's and possibly the newer versions of the Quantum of Solace UPO's had a double AR, but ti was very very blue, and looked more like a blue film than a true AR coating. It probably does have AR qualities, but not to the standard of the HBB's and the BCE etc... As for the standard UPO's they all have the basic inner AR coating.
