  1. Great collection. What kind of box is that? Is it wall mount?
  2. Beautiful. Too bad they didn't do a hesalite n this one. It would have been icing on the cake.
  3. Very nice. I have the inverse to this one on a strap and really like it. Wears very nicely.
  4. Thanks for taking us with you to Basel. Much enjoyed. I am happy to see that my favorite brand represented well.
  5. +1 This totally worked for me. Of course made the initial problem worse, buying too many watches, as now I am always looking for BOTH of us
  6. Nice and concise. Thanks.
  7. Gorgeous! Like has been said many times, nothing beats a Gen. Enjoy!
  8. Depends on the A7750. I have some that fell like...well reps and others that felt just like gens. Luck of the draw I am afraid.
  9. I think your requirement of age and a passed inspection will always be at odds with each other. Seems like you need to accept the condition as it is (assuming nothing horrendously wrong like a foundation). Just remember, the inspection condition is the buyers tool to bail on the deal if even the smallest issue arises. You can still proceed if you so choose.
  10. Nice build. Looks pretty good for a cobbled piece.
  11. Thanks for the feedback guys. Out of all my reps it will stay the longest if not forever
  12. Love them both, although I am a little biased to Tudors
  13. Let us know what you find out. I am very curious.
  14. Only problem with the white version is that the hour and sweep hand are the wrong colour. They should be silver but the factory seems to have just carried over the white hands from the black version. A shame as it is a really big tell and takes away from the quaity of the watch.
  15. Very nice pics. I am with you on the dilemma of ownership. I really would like to have one in my collection as it is a really neat piece. However, I just can't imagine the circumstances under which I could actually wear it. As you said, it draws just a little too much attention. I recently had the opportunity to do some repair work on one of these for another member and overall it is one solid piece. However, the hands arrangement is a little weird. In order to get the correct clearances the tubes on the hands are abnormally long, so handle with care. Also, as with any rep, if you really like it, treat it to a service otherwise yours might end up like the one below. So if I may join in, here are a few shots I took as I worked on it so that you may all see the inside of the beast. Nice case back construction The heart of the beast (2834-2) Problem #1: Sweep hand hitting minute hand (turned out the hand was loose on the tube) Problem #2: Calendar Driving Wheel explosion Problem #3: Chewed up hour wheel A few of the movement teardown Back together again Here you can see the really long tubes I was talking about Dial and hands on All done Overall I was very impressed with the watch. Almost to the point of getting one myself.....but not quite
  16. Could be just a matter of marketing in different areas. As an example Breitling started putting Swiss Made on the dial of certain models and it was determined that it was locale specific. Perhaps the Longines 3 vs 4 lines is just that. Odd though that a picture cannot be found. Just did a quick google and not a single one. Great choice in watch by the way. This one is on my short list of gens.
  17. Purely devastating. We were very fortunate here in Lexington KY that nothing touched down. Very scary aspect of living here compared to the very docile weather I came from in Ontario. My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the fury of mother nature.
  18. SOH hands down. Pure elegent yet sporty design. Diversity, you can dress it up or down. Overall a very practical and awesome watch. Plus the rep if you can get a V2 is outstanding.
  19. You may need to do both depending on how it is setup now. But yes it is possible to do. First remove the crown from the stem and trial fit to the tube on the case. You may actually find it fits better than the stem will allow. Next work the tube using small fine file / sand paper. Check fitment often. Continue until appearance as desired. Next refit crown to stem, insert to watch and check clearance at tube. If needed adjust length of stem so that the crown has just a small gap in winding position. Finally you may need to adjust fit of CG as it may now be too loose.
