My crystal arrives tomorrow but as far as I can see the new omega ar coatings do not have blue hue/tint at all. The liquidmetal has the new coating but the whole range will have it eventually. UPDATE:The crystal arrived today and luckily it is the blue one. I just love the blue with the orange bezel combo! Just wish the watch would hurry up and arrive from PT!

@Iangp Does you're gen crystal that you just received from Ofrei have the blue tint or is it Omega's new transparant AR coating. Mine is on special order with Cousins so not sure which I will receive!

You are correct. The profile of the lip is very different on a gen retainer. I found mine on Ebay from BCwatchparts if I remember correctly. I have often wondered if wholesaleoutlet's set is more accurate then WM9's....

They are not hard to get! Cousins UK usually have them in stock. I'm ordering this week actually to swap out the black on white wheels in my Hamilton chrono.

I think the rest of the band is ok and close enough but you will see a big difference in the sel's! My watch is on hold now until the crystal comes in at Cousins, they are back ordered! and also at Ofrei too!! I think you got the last one ianGP!!

The rep clasp usually looks pretty good and I may yet go down the gen bracelet route. I will see how well it all turns out first!

They were apparantely under the wrong code in their stores! but thanks anyway. They are very bright and crisp. Just need the watch now. Just fitted my AR cyclops that caruwe was selling a couple of weeks ago. There is definately a difference and the magnification is better than the noob mag. Not easy to show in a photo so this is the best I can do at the moment. Had to get the angle just right with the lens. See what you think....

Forgot to say that the dw from cousins is a gen eta part for 2824 and 2892. I received the DW's today but they are silver on black and so is the rest of their stock! I will have to wait and see what the dw print is like when my UPO arrives from PT in the next week or two.

I have not received the donor watch yet but I have ordered a white on black datewheel from cousins which should arrive today. I have bought the swiss upo which should have a 2824 inside but I have a fully serviced selita sw200 on hand which is of course a 2824 by another name and will build everything around that and transplant it in on arrival.

I've just started collecting my list of gen parts for a UPO Franken and I too have just ordered a case back today but it is 4-6 weeks for delivery! I have also ordered a pair of gen 951 bracelet end links as they from memory are a but off on the UPO. Cousins did not have these two items but stock all other parts as we know.

That looks fantastic! He is doing a Hamilton crystal for me as we speak with double AR. Can't wait to get it fitted back in looking at how effective the single sided Ar is on yours! Caruwe is Finedd on RWI.

Today I received this watch after 9 days of customs trauma. Some of you may have read in the other Sub 2010 post that this package was stopped by UK customs(the 1st time ever for me!) and I was asked to declare the contents and provide an invoice. Happy ending to my story. The tracking has updated with 'released with charges' which is VAT on a bracelet purchase I said it was in the package. They had clearly not opened the package so things should be OK.

Usps express mail as usual from USA. Not sure why this package has been flagged! As Bert is on holiday he has not replied yet.maybe the declaration was not clear on the form? I will have to wait and see!

Not sure I will see this watch as I received a letter from the UK Border Agency yesterday asking for details about the contents of the package. Not sure they have opened it so I sent a letter to them which they should receive today. I will not say what it contained just yet but if they decide to open it then I'm knackered for future rep deals at my address used!!

That is a lovely watch my old friend and I'm guessing you are selling as you said it will be in your section soon! There was a case set that came out of Taiwan but not sure it is still made or available. The original George used to sell these(NOT George of WM9) I think Ubi's may have this case set too but not sure.

I guess I had a good one. They are rep cases and not made to the same tolerances as a gen rolex and they do vary on gens too. Around 20 Gen Subs pass through my hands a year and they are not always perfect either. You will get a rep close to a gen model but it will always fall short one way or another which is the main reason I no longer own a rep of any kind as this bothere me more and more as time goes by. Enjoy it for what it is or it will annoy you for ever!!

THe bracelet will fit perfectly well on your V3 case. It fitted better on my V2 than the close up picture suggested.
