  1. thanks for the comments ! i think the problem is only the gasket - anybody know where to get a gen one - or has a pic of it ???? but maybe i do something wrong Dirk - there is no gasket on the rep glas - it is so fat . some more pics : this are all the parts of the bezel : this is where i belive - sits the gaket we are talking about the construction is nice exept for the plastic ring that holds the bezel to the case : (at least i think - without it the bezel can not me mounted to the case) i whould love to see the gen assembly or the WM9 one .... cheers, Frank
  2. so - finally its done it has now an ETA movement - gen crow fits without mods - same with the gen insert - but the gen crystal - sadly doesnt fit some pics from today ... gen insert fits perfect : gen crystal mounted - notice the perfect magnification : but sadly its like 0.1 mm to small to stay in place - i dont want to glue it in ... here you see the differences - rep vs gen : and the watch so far with the stock crystal : cheers, Frank
  3. i walked this morning to the bakery, saved 5 Euro and feel much better :D seriously - you guys in the US are sooooo lucky with your still extremely cheap gas prices ! Frank
  4. listen to Stephane but selling you complete collection and starting a new one is also fun ! i did this a few times already Frank
  5. LAZ - whats going on ? you have already a nice gen ? and some sexy reps ? at the end of the the day - they are all just watches Frank
  6. soon 2 Euro per litre in Germany - i guess i walk tomorrow morning the 50m to the bakery
  7. sorry guys - this hole caseback discussion is so far beyond my imagination what exactly is the point to put and seek an other caseback than the stock MBW one ? please explain it to me but you lost me already at the changing of the endlinks ... this is also something i can never ever understand why don't you case about the huge flaws of the dial or datewheel first ? LOL cheers, Frank
  8. my vote : (although the where at 130$ not so long ago) cheers, Frank
  9. when is comes to the GMT Retro its the only time i disagree with By-Tor : the replica is very very very bad - nearly everything on the watch is wrong. (i had one) the GMT C or Noob are 1000 times better - even the old china GMT is better. cheers, Frank
  10. don't get my wrong i like the rep - but : the AR is really easy noticeable - same the too fat font on the bezel - but the easiest way to spot the rep are the way too long SELs. if you have the rep in your hand you could spot the wrong bezel-handling, GMT-time setting , rep-serial number ect i would leave the watch as it is and just pray that the movement stays alive cheers, Frank
  11. today - Fiddy with Gunny-strap : tomorrow - number 9 : cheers, Frank
  12. wow - what a crazy project you kept the asian movement and put a gen bracelet on the watch ? that's the spirit ! thanks for sharing ! Frank
  13. this will be an Base-weekend .... cheers, Frank

  15. here a few pictures of my GUNNY straps .... i don't like them thick - i like them long - everything is possible thanks pertergunny ! im very happy - exactly as ordered and really soft like butter and : they are really handmade ! cheers, Frank
  16. i call this the survivor .... seem to be the only GMT C without problems ...... cheers, Frank
  17. thats strange ..... i got my watch last week - no problems with the crystal - survived the "warm water drop test" - and the asia movement keeps running like it should ... guess im the only one .... cheers, Frank
  18. thanks guys - the noob-date wheel is finished and a new insert on the way - so tomorrow it will be modern again Frank
  19. this is just a joke - but came out nicely was too lazy to glue the noob datewheel in place while transplanting an ETA movement - so i used an old DW from my 1680 + an old slightly bleached insert ... this came out cheers, Frank
  20. thanks a lot ! only the conclusion is questionable compare this gen dial with the noob : cheers, Frank
  21. so is this also a copy movement ? im confused
  22. little update : gen crown fits perfect without mods on the rep tube. ETA movement is installed - spacer ring fits - only new hands are needed. cheers, Frank
