  1. Heya. Quick question. Bought a lot of tweezers on eBay. Including a style 13 Dumont tweezers. I'm wondering what it's used for. Anyone who can help me out? Pictures included. Notice the little hole on the tip of the tweezer (only on one side).
  2. I have a old, broken, 2846. With a little luck I might have the 2846 parts you seek. If you are still looking, please drop me a message. Else I will not bother going through all my parts. No charge (only for the shipping, if you want reg. shipping).
  3. I might have a crown for you. I'll check my parts tomorrow.
  4. Nice watch! Very cool texture on the dial too.
  5. Looking good, J! One thing, though. The 5 in 15 is damaged - dunno if it's the image your using, or just a random hick-up.
  6. We're talking ~6% (2010) of total population following Islam, estimated to reach 8% by 2030. So please, don't be another victim of political populism. Though, I don't understand why the UK is so soft on this issue. I get that they don't want to aggravate and provoke the plebeians, but at some point you have to draw a line (which should have been drawn about 5 days ago). Political correct shenanigans.
  7. Very nice! It would be great to finally have a good roulette wheel for two of my Tudors. Good times ahead.
  8. Yep, it's a gen. That guy has some sweet deals on Tudors - I've been contemplating about purchasing this watch. But don't worry, I've decided it would be ridiculous for me to get yet another Submariner-styled watch (even if it's a genuine). Pull the trigger, man. Can't go wrong imo, these will only go up in price.
  9. Yes sir, it does(and so will the 39/125/127).
  10. Def Josh as base - if you want to go budget, but yet have a very modifiable base. CGs aren't THAT bad. IMO.
  11. Nop, it isn't. But why do you want a T39? I've tried it, and it's too high imo. I went for the T19 instead - looks great!
  12. Depends. If you're building a 'NOS' watch that represents a new watch than I would say HELL YES. If you'll be aging the lot, to make it look old, dirty and beaten up (scratched crystal, not so great polishing) than I wouldn't bother with it myself (based on normal going rates for T19/39 and the 125/127).
  13. That looks great J - very clear and crisp printing. Great project this is.
  14. Awesome base if it takes genuine parts.
  15. Ceramic blue is definitely fake. Just look at the hour hand base - it's about twice as big as it should be. http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/116619LB_S12541.htm what are the chances, huh. Just in case you hadn't spotted it: the hour hand is not visible in the sales pictures.
  16. I've also had success using my teeth. Although, pliers would be my first choice.
  17. Good job! I'm glad I have girlie wrists.
  18. Does anyone have a source for these? I PM'd Angus about ordering a handful of these new Clone movements - he said it was very hard to get them just on their own.
  19. Your inbox is full, Stilty. I've got a question about the red/black DW's you have/had.

  20. Good job J. I'm looking into having a few sheets of dial decals professionally printed. I (prolly) know someone who'll be willing to do so - anyone here with a good template that I can use as a trial dial?
  21. If you do decide to start a project, and you need a genuine caseback for reference - chat me up.
  22. Get a vice, hold it in place upwards with both the end in the vice, get a plastic hammer (jewlers hammer will suffice) and start beating at it. I've done this with 2 bracelets now, and they came out great. But as Nanuq stated: Take your time, and hurt that sucker bad.
