A classic Genta design. The jumbo is a grail watch IMO. Beautiful photos. Is it a recent purchase? From whom? Wear it well.

What a nice link you provided of the gen. Thanks a lot. This is definitely a must have vintage rep.

My advise would be go with a classic Rolli. Many or most are 38/39mm, and wear just fine on a smaller wrist. The Explorer I, and Date Just are perfect examples. Not only is the size of the case important, but the thickness is very important as well. Many dive watches and chronos for instance might be 41 to 44mm, but are 16/17/18mm thick. It can be like wearing a small hockey puck on your wrist..top heavy and uncomfortable. For many of us with smaller wrists (like mine - 6.5'') I find that 41mm up to 44mm (like most Pams) fit just fine, but ARE big. It is certainly a matter of taste as well as fit. Some of the larger watches like the 45mm PO, or the Pam Fifty are just plain TOO big, and quite frankly, uncomfortable as well. On the other hand when I put on my Explorer I, it seems really small. You really need to pick and choose what works best for you. You need to pick your watch, and then concern yourself with fit. Over the years of collecting, I have ordered different watches, only to receive them and sell them immediately simply because although they be well made and beautiful...they JUST DON'T FIT. It becomes be a matter of trial and error to find what works best for you. There are MANY nice watches in the 38mm to 43mm range that will look great and fit great on smaller wrists. Keep trying.

After studying the dial, the only real difference I can see rep compared to gen, is that the gen dial has the 'Flat' feet on the Omega Icon, while the rep has the 'Curled' feet, the difference between a printed dial and or raised. Other than that the dial and case seem pretty spot on to the gen. Personally I like the fact that the watch is thin - 12.5mm. Most divers these days seem to run15-16mm, which is pretty thick for we slender wristed guys. A few of the finer photos that I have found of the 'vintage' gen show the watch with a regular seamaster link bracelet, but a mesh would be cool. IMO the watch looks better on mesh or some kind of vintage rubber, than with Nato. Nevertheless this rep looks good. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, and I hope to.. be holden.. this beauty pretty soon. Thanks to Lani for the nice pix.

Looks good. I am always interested in the latest/greatest in auto. First decent article I have read on the BMW 1. Keep up the good work.

The 4 models that I liked were all out of stock. Looks as though the pictures might be of the gen. Good find. I would be interested to see a member review of one of these 'reps'.

I too, have been looking for a gen of this watch for some time. They are not that easy to find at a fair price, or one that is in great condition. This rep for the 188.00 price seems a nice alternative. Wear it well.

It is all about how they fit YOU. The brand is irrelevant to me. Daily wear is still levis's for the most part or Wrangler's. The fashion jean (dress) with boots, should just be about fit.(IMO) I wear AG's (Hero) because the fit nicely at the waste, low not too tight, with a really nice flare at the cuff. Wear them long so they drag a bit at the boot heel. I too, consider having the more expensive jean hemmed to fit you personally. In the end it is still all about the fit, not the brand name. I mean if your spending 175.00 to 250.00 for denim, they better fit.

7750. Oh well. -
Pug, Everything on the strip is within walking distance. Taxi's if you need one work too. Public transportation?? Who knows? For fine watches go to Wynn, or Bellagio. Torneau is in the Belliagio mall as well. Wynn has the nicest shop, with AP's, Panerai ,PP, etc The whole town sucks however. Paris is a much nicer place. But life and vacations are what you make it. Have fun.

Very nice look for this watch, very nice.

Well Freddy, I guess this project as well as your photos pretty much seals the deal. You are obviously the man here at RWG. Most brillant, I must say. All others are just pretenders. Thanks for the memories.

THAT is what this place is all about. Talk about wearing it well.... Doesn't matter how many watches one owns. This is a work of art. Ziggification HAS swept the nation. Congratulations on a grail piece.

What a great show. How would you like that job. Did you see the race to Oslo? Un real. How about the Alfa they had on a few weeks back. Easily the most beautiful car ever made. But then again, their all good.

What's with the "EL" Labeling in Sales Ads Recently?
jeff g replied to cc's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps we are talking about two different EL's. He certainly isn't remembered for straps and spring bars, but rather for the best reps ever sold. (Back in the day) His offers were the best watches ever available in the early 2000's. His 3717 for instance ,VI, is without doubt, one of the best rep ever. He was instrumental in it's creation. and sale. Without a doubt as important a sales rep as there ever was. He is sorely missed. -
I own version one of this watch, and wear it with the OR strap. After reading this un real review, I am ready to buy V2. Thanks for such a detailed and accurate review of this great timepiece. Could be the most definitive review of any rep I have ever read. Great job on a great rep/gen watch. THANKS.

Nice rep IMO. I have been searching for a gen all around the forums for some time. This one could satisfy the need, especially for the money. We'll see.

A couple more to add to the "Avoid" list of watches...
jeff g replied to RWG Technical's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Rob. Every little bit helps. Just another reason that you are known as 'The Man'.
