While searching for quality photos of the gen AP Diver, i was shocked to see a google listing of a post that I made here concerning my rep diver. Photos, dialouge, names, the entire post. Can someone tell me how and why my post was added to google listings of photos of the AP diver? I am not amused.

Is there a CONUS member who provides a quality lume like your photos?

Nice site. I must say that my MBW Nautilus looks as good as the gen. Most money I ever spent on a rep over the years here. But so worth the mod's and the money, Thanks for the link.

Calling All Recent Superocean Heritage Buyers
jeff g replied to krpster's topic in The Breitling Area
I own V1. Wrong alignment on the logo. However IMO the Heritage is a beautiful rep, especially worn with the Ocean Racer rubber strap and ss deployment clasp. My watch is two or three years old however, and so I am not familiar with V3. If the current offering is anything like V1 or V2 you can't go wrong. It is a very beautiful watch. -
Yes, Josh at Perfect Clones. His prices are posted. I recommend him, and this watch. Get the better movement, it is worth the cost. I am a huge AP fan, but for the most part I prefer the RO series as opposed to the ROO. This watch (Diver) is the exception. The 15300 would be the next choice.

Ah yes...the Genta triad. True classics. Buy the AP Diver...a beautiful piece..trust me.
-
My new favorite. What a nice watch.

What is the cost of the gen rubber strap?

IMO the RO is far from flashy. Iconic, classy, and classic. The ROO series however can be viewed as LARGE, as well as flashy. Look at the sport and celebrity figures wearing the ROO series, and you will see what I mean. I am currently wearing the AP Diver. Although classified as a ROO, it is a classic look, more similar to a RO, rather than a ROO. THe RO, designed by Gerald Genta, will always be considered a true s/s classic. The current AP diver carries on that tradition.

V1 or V99, nothing will ever be the same as a gen....period. Looking for gen quality and perfect dial , movement, case, hands , lume, etc. BUY the gen for 15,000, and be happy? I am wearing V2 , it is on my wrist right now...and I am happy to have it. paid some 300 bucks for it. I am happy to own such a well made, quality rep classic. I guess that is just me.

No need to pm me for the dealer, got it from Josh. Unreal service and communication. Better than ever. He has established a new presentation format that is the best I have seen in the seven years I have been dealing on this forum. I am a diver watch guy. I would love it if someone would rep the New 50 Fathoms, that being said, the AP is the best quality rep of all the other divers I currently own.

I purchased the diver with the rubber strap and I am extremely happy with it. Personally I prefer my divers, Seamaster 300, PP aquanaut, Breitling Heritage, Black Monster, all with the rubber straps. same is true with the AP. However the AP Diver is such a beautiful piece that I too would like the option of the SS bracelet. Beautiful looking. Anybody know how best to order the rep ss bracelet?, and how easy is it to change back and forth between the two?

OK then. Two years between watches. Finally I found the one. Skeptical of course. But after all the great reviews and photos, I bit the bullit. Man oh man is this a beautiful watch. Don't care what any of the nay sayers think. Rep compared to gen and on and on. Reviewed dozens of photos...gen and rep. This rep is as good as it gets IMO. I have the proverbial small wrist...6.75. This case and bracelet fit GREAT. Fabulous fit and finish. Dial screws fit perfectly. Great clarity. The dial is very detailed. Mr. AP might find a few flaws, but like I said...THIS rep is a winner. Check out a few of my amatureish wrist shots. Even they look good. Like diver's? Get it. Thanks to Josh for great communication and service. He has implemented a new presentation on his site. You can hardly go wrong. Ordered on 9/6..received the watch in Conus on 9/10. 4 days shipping???are you kiddin me. Yea!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose that guns are considered cool, and that watches are too. My preference would be watches, because watches don't shoot bullets. While beautiful guns do. F*** guns.

Pistols, watches, what am I missing here.

I too have been a GG fan for many years. He has been an icon in the wrist watch world for close to 50 years. The man was an innovator, and a design genius. His designs are classics in high end swiss watches for decades. His death is a great loss to our passion for classic design. Patek Phillipe, AP, Omega, IWC...classic designs, classic watches. He will be sadly missed.

THAT was really good. Thanks R.

Josh has offered the AP Diver from the get go... Now I see Pure time is offering V2 of the same Noob factory model. Is really a version 1 (Josh) and a better version V2 different from Puretime different from one another? I see too, that for an additional 65.00 there is a SW 200 movement...is the additional money worth it? Any body know???

Absolutely beautiful work. Thanks for the great photos. Beautiful work. Gosh...did I say beautiful work???

My daily beater after all these years. Seamaster Pro w/ gen strap and deployment. Purchased in 2004, runs like a top.

Beautiful..absolutely beautiful. If there was ever a reason for rep watches....these are they.

As a result of not being around so much these days, I feel I am late to this discussion, nevertheless I do have a few things to say. #1. It used to be more about the comraderie. More about the experience of sharing with others who had the same passion. I have actually more enjoyed the interaction with the members than the love of fine watches. I am not so much bored as I am uninspired. #2. I too, own all the watches I have ever wanted to own. Rep's, I could never afford the gen's. #3. Largess, I liked it more when there were only dozen's of us. Hundred's much less thousands have diluted the mixture. #4. When Eddie Lee left, I kinda left too. #5. Having DLG as a close personal friend , and having spent time with guys like Omni pretty much have taken the place of waiting for watches to come in the mail. I could go on, but who really cares. I miss the good ol days...even though I know that these too are the good ol days. This forum is still VERY COOL. There are still many great members. There is still much to learn.

[censored] beautiful.

On the Diver seems as though the rubber strap is most appropriate, yet the ss is a beautiful bracelet. If you have both...which do you prefer?
-
I love my Aquanaut on the rubber strap, but after seeing the gen on the ss, I too wanted to make the change to ss. Nice photos here. Where did you source the ss bracelet?
