  1. AP RO's are available from a number of our dealers here. There is even a version of the new 2012/13 -15400 dial. Due diligence is key.
  2. Nice post. Funny but the 45mm piece looks more true to gen to me. 42mm is bright and crisp, but looks too.... ahhh....crisp. Nevertheless both are nice reps. Thanks for the comparison.
  3. Fcuk the Wanabees!!!! Your collection is one of the best ever on this forum. Which way to Praque? Does anybody really know what time it is? The Dude knows.
  4. ''There are almost none left in the world''......
  5. There is no comparison of gen to rep. Are we clear on that? Replica means just that. 3717 is close. Other than that??? I don't think so.
  6. As previously mentioned here, research all the Italian reps. Can't go wrong. These folks offering what seems to be really sensible advise are just procrastinating. Italian reps rule. Trust me.
  7. In a car lot that has 100 spaces I park my car 50 spaces from the closest car . When confronted with a no choice situation I take up two parking spaces to insure that 50% of the people will have to stay out of the space. There are those who actually WANT to damage your car. Sorry, but I want to preserve my property from those who would purposefully or accidentally damage my [censored]. If I were to scratch my car door, or my watch bezel, bad on me... but for others to do so because of my neglect or inattention, bad on me. Anal....I guess so. I work too hard for those things that matter to me....making it easy for others to fcuk it up. I don't think so. Make it hard for the inattentive or malicious.....park that thing in the middle of nowhere. Make them come to you. Then if they scratch your deal...KICK their door in....really good.
  8. Fcuk a bunch of guns. If I owned one, my wife would have killed me years ago. Or visa versa. We need guns for what? To defend ourselves. Against who? All the idiots that own guns. Oh I get it, we need guns to kill animals. Why? Do we need to eat them for subsistence? Thats why we have grocery stores. Sport...hunting...ahhh..run them down and strangle them. Now that would be real sport. Hunter...gatherers.. Vegitarians are so much healthier than carnivors. Guns are bad. The people that think they need them are...mistaken. If you had to kill someone while enraged, it would make you think more than once, if you had to try and kill them with your bare hands, or even a blunt object of some kind. Guns are not good. Try using a knive, see where that gets you.
  9. What a great blast from the past. Great to see a post from you. You are (believe it or not) a RWG icon. So nice to see a post from you. Your photographic skills were an inspiration to many of us. New reps? Too many to name, but I would suggest the AP V3 Diver any day. Great to see your post.
  10. It is pretty evident from this post why some of the dealers on RWG offering QC pics urge their perspective customers NOT to show the QC pictures to forum members prior to shipping a watch. Many buyers will not scrutinize a few QC pics like what was done here. The comments were all legitimate, and the small (or large) imperfections mentioned here would probably have gone unaddressed by the seller. In one of the last two purchases I made, my seller told me directly, NOT to put the QC pics he provided on this site, for the very reason illustrated here. Makes one think about which sellers one should deal with. Of course any of our local dealers could always illustrate a perfect dial, and then simply ship any of his stock showing the same marked order number tag shown in QC photos. Let the buyer beware.
  11. Love the mesh on your Monster. wearing mine today as well w/ custom rubber oyster bracelet. Best Seiko ever...the Black Monster. Thanks.
  12. Many nice rep dress watches out there. PP Nautilus white dial comes to mind. Then of course the AP RO white face. And, oh well...many.
  13. Regardless of the size of the watch you displayed...it is very fugly.
  14. Wow, it IS great to see your avatar again. Didn't realize you've been gone so long. Welcome back.
  15. Not to worry about nobody looking. Most here are not interested in fine watches, but rather whats hot in the sports watch category. The Cartier is a beautiful timepiece, and always will be appreciated by those who love fine swiss timepieces. The Santos is a classic. Your photos and reviews of this watch are superb. Thank you so much for the great thread. Much appreciated I assure you.
  16. Here is my new 15300 AP Royal Oak. A Genta classic. 1st high end SS sports watch created in 1972. This beauty is 40.5mm wide and a slim 9.5mm Fits great, looks great. Thanks for looking.
  17. It is so freakin unbelievable...that anyone would post pic's or comments of rep watches on a gen forum. Those that do that are stupid fcuking idiots.
  18. I wanted to get a few shots posted today of my new 15300. I would like to take a few more nice pics, to try and show the real beauty of this watch. When I have the time I will send a few more views, showing the crystal, the depth of the screws in the bezel, the sapphire backed movement, a side profile etc. But from the few pics I have here, you will get the idea. I am very happy with this watch and it's quality. For the money, you can't go wrong IMO. It keeps great time, smooth second hand, not choppy at all, and the dial for the most part is right on. I especially like the fact that it is the correct case dimension @ 40.5 x 9.5cm. It wears extremely well on my smallish 6.75 wrist, with no apprecialble overhang etc. When removing extra links, I have been able to modify the fit perfectly on my wrist. From previous posts on the older version of this watch I read that a number of people had reversed the bracelet because the back side in fact seemed smoother and less striated than the front. I tried that, and found that there was in a fact a benefit to to this. The back of the bracelet IS smoother than the front, and by making the conversion from back to front, it makes the watch LOOK and FEEL better. I spent sometime with a Cape Cod polishing cloth and a bit of sewing machine oil on the hinges, and it softened, polished and made the feel of the bracelet more 'buttery'. A very nice feel. I noticed too, that the sides of the bracelet are more polished than past bracelets, so more like the gen bracelet, which seems to have a higher or better polished surface than the top of the links. I recommend trying the bracelet 'flip' with your new Royal Oak. The clasp itself functions perfectly, and the AP engraving is spot on. One of the things I noticed on the previous version of the 15300 was the crystal. Seemed to me that it slightly protruded from the top of the bezel. On the newer version of this watch the crystal is flush mounted and looks correct to the gen IMO. Some have suggested that perhaps the crystal needs a good AR to better show of the 'depth' of the dial. No AR works for me. Another issue in the past versions was the AP logo at 12. I have read that it is incorrect to the gen because of a slight split between the A and the P. In doing my due diligence on the 15300 I have seen a number of gen photos showing the AP logo to have variations depending on the exact model. So to me the slight seperation is not a huge tell in comparing the gen to the rep. In fact I kinda like the look better with the slight split, rather than having the A butt up to the P. FWIW. Additionally, I like the look of the AP logo at 12, rather than the new 15400 RO which has the original look of the dual batons at 12, similar to the original 15202, but then...that's just me. The lume, (I will try and get pictures) is very well done, very clean and crisp. Makes a big difference on a sport style watch IMO. The last rep I purchased was the AP Diver. These two AP reps, the RO and Diver, are very well done. I highly recommend them. I will try and post a few more pictures later, but for those of you that have been on the fence concerning this watch, regardless of dial color, I highly recommend it. I purchased this watch from Josh, and I highly recommend his product, and service. His delivery method is the best. I received this watch in 5 working days. Not like the old days of worrying as to whether you would ever in fact receive a watch, much less how long it would take. Thanks for looking.
  19. I will post pics this week. The lume is really good. After spending time looking at the new 15400, I actually like the dial on the 15300 better, even though the double baton at 12 is reminicent of the original 15202. I definitely love the super smooth seconds hand. Sorry for the wait on photos.
  20. Seems that puretime has it available on his site.
  21. If it is sent from Josh via EMS you will have to sign for it. Don't bother tracking it. If you are in Cal it will arrive in 5 days.
