  1. Wow. GREAT collection. Congratulations. Where is your Nautilus?
  2. QUITE POSSIBLY ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WATCHES IN THE WORLD.
  3. The Wempe Scuba. A classic. RK...wonderful taste in timepieces, as usual.
  4. I have owned the SOH since it was originally released. 1st mod was the purchase of the SOH Racer rubber strap... then I purchased a mesh bracelet from a local member. Had the Zigmeister service and do a relume. Without a doubt the SOH black dial is a classic diver. It is the only Breitling I own.
  5. HERITAGE w/mesh strap. Blackbird w/ hornback alligator.
  6. Very nice.
  7. Wempe...700 5th Ave. Could be the best watch shop in the USA.
  8. I have ordered the gen watch. I have to wait till June to receive it. IMO it is the most beautiful watch on the planet.
  9. Yep. My Nautilus is the original MBW. Both of these watches are classic's, IMO.
  10. The gen TransOcean is pretty close to the perfect watch. Absolutely beautiful. The rep versions are crap...period.
  11. Another perfect example of ..... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What about GENTA? What about the Nautilus, the Aquanaut. What about the 50 Fathoms, the Reverso....and on and on. Rolex? You must be kidding. At least there were no Pam's on the list.
  12. Women's Rolex's on women are boring. Men's Rolex's on women look great. The nicest pic's were the daytona's on some beautiful wrists...photoshopped or not.
  13. Gran....pretty much perfect. Beautiful photo. Wear it well.
  14. Nice watch Dluddy.
  15. I absolutely love beautiful wrist watches. I still own more than a dozen. Looking down at my wrist just to revel in the looks of a Nautilus, or a Casablanca, or my AP Diver. Yet I often go weeks wearing no watch at all. Actually never wore a watch at all from the time I was 21 until 58 yrs old. Then suddenly I went to buying 30 or 40 watches in 3 years. A naked wrist doesn't bother me. Watches are jewelry, some days you wear it, somedays you don't.
  16. I am a huge fan of both these watches. I am a Genta fan, that is for sure. I own the original MBW/MBK with black dial, and feel as though it is the best rep ever offered. The current APRO jumbo offered is VERY nice, but I feel as though it lacks the buttery feel of the PP bracelet. For that reason alone I say go with the black dial Nautilus. As nice a wrist watch ever made...gen or rep.
  17. I would kill for that one.
  18. Agree, this is a beautiful watch.
  19. I agree, This is a beautiful watch...on a man or a woman. Thanks for the heads up.
  20. After all these years of collecting, the MBW Nautilus, has always been, and will always be the most beautiful rep I own, period.
  21. Good thread, thanks. If the Gen WIS forum members are sick of the rep/gen controversory..imagine how we must feel around this forum.
  22. All of the watches mentioned in this thread are beautiful. Franck Muller Reverso Santos Flying B I own a number of them, but my favorite is the 1931 Reverso. Truly one of the most beautiful watches ever made. But there are even more classic rectangular wrist watches...Genta designs, like the Nautilus. All of these watches can be worn informally as well as formal. Much depends on the strap choice.
  23. I have been a member of this forum from DAY ONE. YOU are the noob pal. I am neither an idiot nor a genius, but you are obviously a fckin fool. Get a life.
