Yup....real watch......but real ugly too! Omega makes some amazing watches. But then, they've had a bad habit of making some pretty hideous versions of their speedmasters.
Hahaha! Love it Pug! Well said!
As I stated in another thread (because while I was playing with the iPad and posting about it, the search function didn't work), it's a really nice form factor and it is FAST! I can definitely understand why it sold over 1M units already. It's not all hype - this thing is really great!
Oops! That's not much fun! Hope you didn't lose too much on the floor. I also curse quite often when a spring bar, which I am almost certain I have a good hold of, shoots out from in between the lugs!
Its interesting you mention that. I was wondering if it would make more sense to just get the wifi one and a sprint 4G wireless device that shares the network connection. I believe they make a stand alone one. I wonder if the price difference will make sense? The unlimited AT&T plan is only $29.00 per month with no contract
I am not generally an emotional kind of person, but that story brought a tear to my eye. Thank you so much for sharing that Lani. It really brings to perspective what our lives can truly be about! I was really touched by that story and I look forward to sharing it with my friends and family.
Yeah, I can definitely see this being a very nice, "couch sitting" internet device! And RWG looks great on it. It's nothing like on the iPhone where it defaults to the lo-res version. You get the full experience on the iPad. It's just like browsing RWG on Safari on a regular lap top or desk top. And it is fast!
Wow! I love it! I especially like what you did to the Abyss! I really like the aged ceramic and the brevet crown really looks great on this beast! Please keep us posted on that one!
Are the 10 Baron's all sold now?
Thank you so much guys for the well wishes! It has been a fabulous year so far!
To think, when I first joined this forum, I had one rep watch; a very poor Omega DeVille Hour Vision. Since then, I have bought and sold many different watches, built a franken, built a work shop and loaded it up with some cool watch tools, and best of all, made some pretty awesome friends here! Wow! What a year!!!
Thanks again guys!
+1 Jet......I'm very curious now!
Also - you mentioned this in your first 7031 post:
Dismantled?? Are you up to something interesting with your Snowflake as well??
That is an absolutely brilliant first post here!!! And brilliant work! I'm with Teejay......I loved the step by step in the design and implementation process! Looking forward to more great work from you in the very near future!!!
Wow....I just noticed that I joined last April 27th! My 1 Year Anniversary just passed! I can't believe it!!!
I just want to say thanks to the entire community for making this such a great, and comfortable home for me this past year! Here's to many more years of community fun, passion and love of watches and life!
Thanks to all!

I was the same way, but I know a couple of people who went for it, and they were super happy they did. They are factory refurbished, and the way I look at it: if it's going to break, or show pixel issues with the sensor, it will happen right away.
No reps, but I bought my D90 from Adorama as a Nikon Refurbished model for under $700.00. No lens though. If it's too high, then go for the D5000. Definitely stay away from the D3000 though
