  1. Ah yes.... but first you will have to find me! Bwah ha ha ha!!!
  2. +1 also love them both!! Really digging the new Tudors lately!
  3. Wow J!!! That's one of the better snow flakes I've seen yet!!! Very well done!!
  4. Well I'd say Rolex has gone off of the deep end. That sky-dweller seems to be the tamest thing they have released this year. How about this new Daytona? I think this might beat out the previous "Gaytona":
  5. Great great pics M!!! I see you are taking to the new camera quite well! With that kind of megapixel resolution, you don't really need to get that close. Just crop it
  6. IWC Ingenieur for Tuesday:
  7. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will look into how to get them fixed
  8. I thought it might be. I wasn't sure who picked up that beauty from sweatdogg. Enjoy it!! I miss that watch, but glad to see it's at a good home and with good company!!
  9. Another awesome post that should definitely be pinned!! Thanks!
  10. +1 - amazing difference! That rivet bracelet looks spectacular! Get a nice faded gen insert for it
  11. Very nicely done! Clear, concise and informative! One thing I should point out however. The Timegrapher results are helpful during the QC process, but they in no way negate the need for a proper servicing. The Timegrapher provides an averaging of its readings. It does not show an accurate representation of how well the watch is really running. This is why watch smiths mostly use a Vibrograph or other type of timing system. It shows how regular the beat really is over time and they usually time it in several positions as well. As an example, here you can see a watch timer showing very irregular beat activity: As you can see it is all over the place, however the average is showing that the watch is running at +7.6 sec/day (which isn't too bad). Lift angle is at 52 degrees and Balance Wheel Amplitude is at 285 degrees (which is also pretty good). I usually ignore the averaging and check the watch based on it's paper tape readout. That is a true reading of how well the watch is running. Here is another example of a watch that is running pretty well: This watch ended up timing at +1.6 sec/day in the end, but as you can see on the readout in the background it is running consistent and smooth
  12. Great shots LHOOQ!!! Since it's T-shirt weather today, I was able to break out this bad boy - PAM 328L
  13. Very nice combo!! What's the source for that strap? Looks great!
  14. Good lord that 6536 is gorgeous Nanuq!!
  15. Great watch! Like the DateJust too!! Looks like my old Franken
  16. Looks great on that jubilee!!!! Nicely done!! That bracelet looks really nicely worn and stretched too!!!
  17. Mine has a gen crown & tube on it, so I can't speak to that particular issue. Do you feel comfortable removing the existing crown and stem yourself? You could do a quick test by removing the existing one and then very carefully try screwing in the gen (without any stem on it) to see how it goes. If it feels like its not catching, I wouldn't try too hard.
  18. Couldn't agree more Andy. There is such an allure to modded reps. The story behind it is far more interesting than just plopping down a wad of cash for a gen and saying "look at me!! I bought a gen watch for a lot of money!"
  19. Another new lens, so some more pics This time its a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro VR
  20. Quite some time ago, FxrAndy posted up a great comparison of the gen vs rep Ingy. (you can find the review here) I remember drooling over those pics and thinking to myself that the Ingy is one beautiful, yet very understated watch. I didn't give it much thought after that. The one major upgrade that must happen to an Ingy is the date wheel. There was a beautiful rep date wheel produced by Lello which is no longer available and rare as hens teeth. Without that DW, the rep is a waste of time (in my opinion). A few weeks ago, shockingly to my surprise, FxrAndy posted his beautiful Ingy for sale. I just happened to be up at 4am that morning because my dog had woken me up to go to the bathroom. I couldn't get back to sleep so I turned to RWG for some "light" reading. Little did I know that I was about to make the purchase of the century. I came along Andy's FS thread and immediately PM'd him saying I would be happy to take the watch off his hands. A short time later the watch arrived, perfectly packaged and with a "note" stating that "you should be more careful not to drop the watch on the marble floor". Brilliantly stated and clearly for the sake of Mr Customs man. Certainly brought a smile to my face!! Anyways, it just so happens that I have a new lens in my collection and I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to show off my new Ingy On to the pics: Look at this ridiculous lume!!! This was another selling point for me. One of only two rep Ingy's with the small numerals lumed at the outside edge: And of course, the wrist shot: P.S. for you photogs out there - the new lens is a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro VR
