Thanks M for this great review and for letting me take those pics!! It was a lot of fun!
This is one absolutely amazing PAM!! I hate gold, but the gold hands on this just make the watch in my opinion!!! Also, the lever may be a tad loose, but the "SNAP" feel you get from it when you close it down on the crown is outstanding! Best feeling, out of the box, PAM rep I have ever handled/seen!
M, what did your watchmaker friend use to smooth out the clasp buttons?? I would love to do the same as it is really brutal on the wrist after a while.
Yup. And that is exactly my point. I ordered a watch from Josh once and when I put the EMS tracking number in the USPS site it said there was no info for that shipment yet. Next thing I know, it's arrived on my doorstep and when I checked the tracking number again, it showed up as shipment is being processed in the sorting facility.
Great write up M!! The VC Deep Stream is a great watch. I still need to find a deployant clasp for my strap.
One other thing I find is the edges are awfully sharp. I need to go to town on the bracelet and soften the edges as well as dry lube it. I think that will make a huge difference.
The US Postal Service tracking system is a complete joke. I would ignore it. If the watch hasn't shown up by the end of next week, then have a look at the tracking info to see what they have to say.
Wow!!!! That is a thing of beauty!!! Do they make these sort of holders for 2836's & 2824's?
BTW.... what brand is that? Looks like it says Horla, but didn't find anything in a google search
Very fascinating read M! I would never have thought I should use the alloy dies when pressing in a crystal. I had always assumed that they were for press on case backs.
+1 on the Watch Bitz kit. I have a horotec style press but with all of the nylon and alloy die sets that Offshore offers and it is a great piece of kit. Cannot recommend it highly enough!!!
My recently Ziggy serviced 7734 gets approx 44 hours on a full wind.
A full wind is when you wind it until you cannot turn the crown anymore. It comes to a stop (I'm guessing with some sort of clutch mechanism)
Wow what a fantastic story! More importantly, congratulations on the connection you made with Giulio Bonaccio!! I wish you all the best on your visit with him and hope it works out that you will be able to sell some straps with him!!!
Definitely no expert, but that bezel & insert looks nice. The crown position looks good too.
The coronet on the bracelet looks a little odd to me though.
