  1. I remember seeing this one on a few of the usual dealers' pages, but was of the understanding that they weren't available yet (i.e. just teaser pics). Have they actually been released?
  2. I'll join Eton with another Pilot...
  3. My favorite is when someone posts 'I'm looking for xx part', to which I reply 'I have one here for you... Gratis', they take me up on it, I go out of my way to not only gift it to the individual, take time out of my day to go to the local PO, send it at my cost and they can't even send a simple 'thanks'... It's not really the cost of the part, or the shipping expense, or even the lost time out of my day that irks me... But rather the lack of simple manners. Irritating to say the least. Will it stop me from continuing to do it? Certainly not for friends... But for the guy with 1 post and his only post being a request for parts... Probably not going to happen anymore...
  4. I believe it can indeed be done...
  5. Indeed; classic Rolex do indeed have a certain charm to them that is hard to explain or describe. Just one of those things that you have to experience first hand...
  6. MBW = Maria Best Watch, which is a long standing nomenclature to describe a particular dealer selling a very specific kind of Rolex replica that originates from Thailand. These watches are among some of the first vintage Rolex replicas to utilize correct case construction and dimensions and as such typically accept genuine parts (though this is hit or miss depending on model/ref involved). The same watches can be purchased from MBK Center in Bangkok; if you do a search on the topic, I am sure you'll find a significant amount of background on what these watches are about, and the potential they hold
  7. As long as the leather strap's buckle side is 20mm, it should fit
  8. Nice and interesting look to it! I'm trying to figure out if your band/bracelet is more Olongapo or Chrome Hearts in style...?
  9. That is a pretty good price, though... Considering that most that I've seen are in the $300 - $400 range (I've even seen some in the $500's)...
  10. Another day with the PAM...
  11. All in all, looks pretty dang good!
  12. I notified admin and mods about the membership status for you, K. Hopefully that will be resolved soon
  13. 1680 is just a tough one to do in general, mostly because the cases available are more 5513 influenced. The rehaut opening for the 5513 case is smaller; hence, if you try and build a 1680 out of certain cases, the immediate tell is that there just isn't enough dial showing (easy to tell with the min chapter).
  14. Yessir Dial and hand set from Mr. Concepta!
  15. Well, when I commissioned the dial, I had to be very specific in what I wanted, and backed up my request with lots of pics and lots of details identified. I suspect that the dial maker did the best that they could matching the fonts; it is by no means perfect when under magnification and compared with a gen example side by side, but I suspect that cased and while out and about, this dial would do well amongst casual observers For grins, I did case up a 1st attempt of the same custom dial; this one had been matte sprayed.
  16. Those look amazing! Great result, and beautiful watches!
  17. I even think we got the extra links figured out
  18. Beautiful pics! No PS needed IMO... Fantastic watch!
  19. And there you have it, straight from the source. I knew if anyone could answer, it would be you, watcher!
