  1. Yessir. Amazing how much difference something as little as a pearl can make! Great shot... And a great watch for a great guy.
  2. I like the idea of a Tudor chrono project... Not exactly common to see this model frankensteined....
  3. Unless you sent your gen in for service. You could buy a cheap/bad redial for your gen 14060, have an ind. watchmaker install it, send it in for service and upon cracking the case open and tearing everything down, Rolex will require that you change the dial with genuine. So, you would have your original dial, as well as the new service replacement dial from the RSC.
  4. Last one I saw was for a 1680/8; sold for $1400.00
  5. cheiftang- That is exactly how my watch looks with bezel removed.... And my bezel is identical.
  6. szumi, Thank you for the kind words I think I got lucky with my case... The crown position on the profile does indeed explain why some Subs have a deeper rehaut than others. If you notice, on mine, I think the only reason why the crown is in the right position is because of how thick the bezel is, which allows for a deep rehaut while allowing the crown to sit higher on the profile. Interesting stuff. I'd really like to know exactly where my Sub originated from...
  7. Indeed- The hands for a 2892 are 90/150/25.
  8. I replaced my dial with a TWG 21j dial... Also added a genuine crown, tube and bezel insert. To finish it off, I added the bracelet from the TWG Sub...
  9. Occassionally, I like pop in to revisit this thread just for the pics. I can't get over how incredibly great this GST is. Definitely one of my favorites!
  10. VERY cool! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
  11. Someone much wiser than I once told me- 'I'm Sorry' goes a very long way for two simple words...
  12. I dig it. Especially the indicies. Stop right there
  13. TT- NICE avatar!! Bear with me... I may have found a solution...
  14. Well... I think the rehaut could be better, but for the price, the noobmariner is a hard bargain to pass up. Unfortunately, with the rehaut there is nothing that can make it look taller than what it is. It's either deep enough, or not. The only way to add depth is to add metal... Not exactly the easiest way to go. The best way to achieve a 14060 (in my opinion) will require a little more money spent, and more work in tracking down the now discontinued TW Best Classic. This is the BEST basis to start with as it already has the lug holes (that need to be drilled out to accomodate 2mm springbars), the rehaut is deep, it already has the ETA inside, and adding a hollow end link bracelet is a snap. You'd still need to add the dial, crown, tube and insert, but it's the best platform to build this one on...
  15. Tourbillon is stating that the bridges on his watch are decorated (in this case with Cotes de Geneve finishing). He is not implying that it is the same finishing/decoration to the bridges as genuine or the Asian decorated movement in the Jones watch.
  16. Just to update my situation- Joe and I have come to an amicable solution to my pending order.
