I've put non-SEL bracelets on all of my watches. If you have gotten SEL bracelets, with the machined end links, then my parts supplier has told me that often the hole placement in the link is specific to a certain case making it highly possible it will not fit a different case. Just for grins I bought a nice machined end link Submariner band from him anyway and he was correct - it will not fit any of my Subs...
It would be really cool if we could find a place to get good case-back engraving done for reasonable. Unfortunately I don't want to shell out several G for a 3 axis CNC engraver/router...
When I first got into this mess I disliked anything that didn't have crown guards and preferred Sub size watches with dates. I now prefer, and wear 90% of the time, watches without CGs, in the 34 - 36 mm size, and have come to appreciate the cleanliness and simplicity of no-date versions. I've pretty much did a 180...
F, me and CGs don't get along that well...
I tried a riveted bracelet on the piece, and while it looked OK it really didn't grab me. I then put on a 20mm Tudor signed Prince Date Jubilee style bracelet and it really looked classy! You will see that all of the pics have magically changed to the new version.
Freddy, I never pictured a rivet on a watch like this. I may have one laying around and if so will try it to see what it looks like but in all probability it will wind up on a Tudor Prince Date bracelet.
No, I never got that industrious. I ordered the gen-spec and then the flat sapphire from ofrei, and finally rotated the crystal 180 degrees and glued on the cyclops!
