  1. After removing the crystal! I put the crystal in a padded vise, heat the cyclops area with a heat gun, and "pick" off the cyclops with a razor blade...
  2. I've got a champaign (I think) gen Ladies DJ dial...
  3. R, You are sooo close, just DO IT!!!
  4. I finally found a collection of parts that would fit together so this morning I decided to see if I could make a watch out of 'em. I had picked up a rep Tudor Princess 23.5mm case a while back and wasn't really pleased with the rep dial I put in it so it went into the box. A few weeks ago I saw a gen Tudor 2671 movement and dial on fleabay so I snagged it thinking it would fit in the regular Ladies DJ size case but much to my surprise it was meant for the smallish case. After swapping some parts around I wound up with the gen dial and movement fitting perfectly into the rep case. The dial and movement are about the same diameter and no spacer ring is needed to secure the dial/movement assembly into the case and the proportions are nice, right down to the 11mm bracelet. Here's a few pics... Here's the engine: And to the outside...
  5. You can use them in a drill press, lathe, mill, hand drill, etc.
  6. The hole needs to be "spotted" with a center drill. A center drill is extremely stiff, has no flutes, and won't bend. After that you switch to the cobalt bit... I just put a "dimple" in the lug with the smallest drill then switch to the #55...
  7. You have to carefully unfold mid-links, remove link, and re-fold/crimp mid-link. I've done a couple but although they don't look too bad I can still tell I have farkled with the link. Thankfully it's on the bottom-side of wrist...
  8. I don't understand what the benefit of painted ceramic would be. The paint can/will scratch while the big selling point of ceramic is scratch resistance...
  9. A T21 and T22 have the same ID and should fit a 36mm case. The T21 has a slightly bigger OD and has a more "domed" profile than the 22...
  10. It is best to start with a center drill...
  11. He's eligible but just trying to weasel out...

    Busted?

I think it's pretty funny they don't really know WHO they are going after other than they are probably Chinese - too funny. Oh, it looks like idolreplicas is back in business as idolreplicas.net so the whack-a-mole anology works for me!
  13. Ubi, that's kinda they way I buy a new pistol. I start collecting brass and suddenly realize I have 1000 pieces of brass and I need to load them and find something to shoot them in!

    Busted?

From time-to-time I order watches from idolreplicas.com (watch eden sister site) and today when I went there to look for something the page had a redirect on it to a site outlining an infringement suit brought against them in Florida for replica bags, wallets, etc., but not watches. Kinda funny because they are really not sure who they are, describing them thusly: "Defendants are individuals and/or business entities of unknown makeup who likely reside in the People’s Republic of China." Oh well, life goes on...
  15. I think a lot depends on whether left or right handed.
  16. I had made one earlier in the month but it doesn't look like the tally carried over after the "Great Server Fire of 2011". I think the total was around $30 before the weenie roast...
  17. The fact that Tudor is severely underrepresented in this wristie has prompted me to wear this today...

mjmj, your's looks to be the one my rep was modeled after...
  20. I'd like to visit England, Sweden, and Germany, but I think the politics most places in the "Old Country" are a bit farther left than what I would feel comfortable with as far as a place to live is concerned!
