  1. I dug out a 2846 to service and install as soon as mine gets here! I have one Yuki tube left so I just need to keep a watch on fleabay for a decent used crown and I'll be all set!
  2. I had vowed I would never buy an "assembled" rep again - I just ordered one. I will try to transform it into a Tudor when I get it...
  3. Strange, if all of these were scattered about on a table I would have picked the gen 70s Vintage as my first choice as fake!
  4. Dusted off my first beater...
  5. Reckon it would make into a credible Snowflake? Looks like a helluva good deal for the money...

    Rolex Crowns

There goes my theory about all 36mm watches taking 6mm crowns... Thanks for the list!
  7. Back to 34mm for me, one of my few remaining "pure" reps...
  8. I could probably put a gold 5.3 w/tube on the wife's TT Princess...
  9. Not a big fan of straps but that one really works! Have fun with it...
  10. I must ensure that Tudor is represented today with some gen action...

It looks even better now with better hands courtesy of da Goat!
  12. I love it, fantastic looking watch with all the functionality of a Daytona and calendar to boot! Although mine aren't "Big Blocks" they are among my favorite watches.
  13. Just popped the back to see what movement was used...

  17. This is what Texas looked like when I got up and there's been snow/ice on the ground since Tuesday!

Grassy-a$$! You throw enough darts and one is bound to hit the target every once in a while!

Yes, an ETA 2824 slid right in (with proper movement spacer) perfect stem height.
  20. A couple mildly interesting things I discovered on this yesterday: 1. The band is a bit over 22mm. 2. The case back takes the same wrench/die as the DSSD. The gen case back looks to take a Sub size die...
  21. Aha! Another use for one of my 34mm cases. I need to build a cousin for my Ranger!
  22. They made Explorers in a 34mm case?
  23. I suppose you might be able to find gens with CGs that short from over zealous polishing for 40+ years?
