  1. I'm gonna forward a pic of this to my "parts guy" to see if I can get just the dials and I can "upgrade" my DJ with one...
  2. I couldn't get past the pearl and thought all of the backslapping and virtual high-fives were a real hoot! But, I'm sorta sick like that...
  3. Nice, Dano! Here's what I wound the day up with for some strange reason...

    Lease or Buy

Another thing to consider, which is what I usually do, is do you really like the car and enjoy driving it and will it be nice to not have a car payment? If you don't really get wood driving/maintaining/playing with the car then it might be better to look elsewhere...
  5. I have several new ones, PM me...
  6. Unfortunately MSC doesn't have the small ones.

    Here is the DSSD valve...
  8. Here ya go, M: Please overlook the sharpening job on the hands...

    Air-King

M, the 2824 fit like a glove! It does need some proper hands, thanks! That "well used" bracelet really sets it off! I guess I'm gonna have to start scrounging old 34mm Rollie cases and 2824s!
  10. You are sooooo screwed...
  11. M, I don't know about gilt - I think it's just yellowing due to age.
  12. Wearing "Rodney" today...
  13. My theory on the nylon spacer/shim is to allow for sloppy manufacturing tolerances (so they don't have to scrap ill-fitting rings), to allow one retention ring to be used (cost reduction) with different batches of crystals by just changing nylon ring, or all of the above!
  14. Damn, you just prompted me to do a count and I'm back up to 24!!! I understand why I get the "eye" sometimes... I have been trying to thin the herd lately, and have sold about 4-5 over the last month, but some of them I can't stand to put up for sale even though I will probably never wear them again.
  15. Sly, small world! My wife also has a gen vintage two-tone Princess Oysterdate!
  16. Yes, maniac, it didn't last long. The two-tone Prince Oysterdate would look good on ya!
  17. Still kinda likin' this one...
  18. Andy, they were about $3 and change each at MSC Online.
  19. Red, no problem. I didn't realize I had so many of 'em, no wonder I have been raising wife.gov's eyebrows lately! The two-tone and the black dial Air-King will probably need to find another place to live but I can't bear to think about parting with any of the others!
  20. I picked up a pretty large parts order from GZ at the Post Office yesterday and immediately noticed the green "customs tape all over it. I was a bit worried so when I got home I unwrapped everything and matched it up against my order. The order had no complete watches but there were a number of "branded" cases, crowns, and bracelets. I could tell that all of the contents had been unwrapped and re-wrapped but nothing appeared to be missing. I'm not complaining, mind you, but I thought this very curious. Has this set a "red flag" on my address for them to maybe start checking more of my stuff or do they really not care about parts whether they be branded or not?
  21. According to Yuki this is a gen dial, yeah right, but regardless I think it's pretty cool. It is supposedly a gen "Red" Ranger dial that the red has almost faded away. If the aging on this dial is artificial then I need to learn how to do it! The red has almost faded away and is a very light pink and the lume is totally dead as I would expect from a dial of this era. Parts list: 1 - Gen(?) Tudor Ranger Dial. 1 - 34mm rep case. 1 - Clark T12 crystal 1 - ETA 2836-2 1 - Rep Ranger hand set 1 - Rep Rolex Brushed Oyster Bracelet
