  1. Hey guys, I just ordered a J12 safari. Since they have an updated datewheel and they are engraved with an I serial there is 1 glaring flaw the maker did not give any attention to. The caseback engraving is wrong... At the end of the H-series the casebacks got an update together with the datewheels, they have a more fresh and modern look. Right now the casebacks still have the engraving as on the F and partially G-series (thin engraving). They should update the casebacks imo. FYI:
  2. Aliexpress is great, if you search well you often get great quality stuff at a lower price vs some td's. I never buy rep handbags etc, so can't comment on that. The other stuff is great. But it takes some time to get to know aliexpress. The first deals I got were hit and miss.
  3. Thanks for the write up! The DW on the noob is correct vs the 1st series of the 44mm.
  4. Since a lot of guys signed up for the custom AP datewheels on different fora for the RO and franken ROO but didn't pay I need to fill a gap. Therefore it might be smart, or just plain stupid to produce a batch of 7750 dw's. I need your help with the following things: 1. Which datewheel needs to be made, old datefont or new datefont? Imo the old datefont would be better. 2. What is the size of an ETA7750 dw? I thought this was 24,6mm 3. I need a member to send me a high resolution scan of a datewheel used on the Noob version and J12 version. The datewheels can be different from the Swiss ETA Valjoux, I need to be 100% sure they are made to fit. Anyone who can send me a hig resolution scan or a complete datewheel for this project? 4. Set up a list of interested members for these datewheels. Since I only sold about 1/3 of the previous run I won't be counting each member on the list, simply because quite a lot of folks will go silent when payment is needed. I will base my calculations on 1/3th of the list. If there would be more interest I can do another run within 4-6 weeks after the 1st run. 5. Don't scr*w me again So, on the www I don't find a clear document that states info on the 7750 datewheel. The most important part is the location of the numbers as well as the datewheel teeth. It's important to mention that we're talking about a datewheel that needs to line up at 3 o'clock. If you have scans or pics, please post them here or send them in a PM and we can work something out to get them to me by e-mail etc. Please start the list and help me out on my request concerning a scan or a dw. Thanks. Don't sign up on the list on multiple fora, only on 1 forum per member. 1. member x 2. member x 3. ...
  5. Better wait for the V2, next to the ceramic case that needs improvement the dial ain't great either.
  6. Yep, Ryan should be able to get this as well. Not all dealers though, I asked around and they put me through to Angus.
  7. The old deplyant is 18mm so best would be to get a complete new strap with the tang buckle.
  8. Hey guys, These datewheels were sold out, now I have produced a second batch. Available at http://www.datewheel.eu They are great for frankens but also to get your 14790, 15300 and 15400 RO closer to gen. An example of a 15400:
  9. Guys, I have been making custom dw's for AP ROO's for over a year. I am able to produce this as well for the IWC Ingenieur. The only thing I need are buyers hehe. There is an MOQ, I'm not talking about DWO's but actual datewheels produced in Switzerland. I currently did a second round of AP datewheels, for about 40 interested members. Cost per datewheel is $68 + $10 shipping due to the low quantity that has been produced.
  10. I'm working on a A7750 dw, I already have a datewheel for the ETA2824/2836/2892 - LWO movements.
  11. The JF factory bought a gen so it shouldnt be too long before its out. Great watch imo.
  12. Contact a service center, not a dealer
  13. I prefer the 15300. It goes back to the original RO dimensions (39mm) and therefore is a classic. What is a downside on the 15400 is the fact that the movement looks small vs the case. This makes the dial less balanced vs the 15300. I do prefer the deployant of the 15400. My favourite, and on my buying list is the 15300 RG.
  14. The V4 is better. Dial hands, datewheel...
  15. I love my pair of Dents. I can highly consider them.
  16. Just started with crossfit, try to do it 3x a week, minimum 2x. I love it. Amazing how much strength you loose in a couple of years. I used to compete in duathlon, triathlon and running competitions. 3 years of owning a company has a bad influence on my overall strength & condition. I'll try to get it back.
  17. Hey guys, Anyone who knows if ETA2836 hands can fit a Frederic Piguet 1150 movement? I'm able to get one at a good price and I'm thinking about it... No one seems to know when I ask this, maybe someone of you does...
  18. A few adjustments to be done but it looks promising already
