Iyho, What's The Most Perfect Replica Available Today.
Richard Tracy replied to crystalcranium's topic in General Discussion
Another vote for the Inge.... Simply amazing... Hey, let's set up a poll ... -
"What drama ?" ?? ....if you only knew... which I think you do Yes,.. the plan was ..1. All Occasion 2. Dress 3. Sports 4. To be decided... I know you are joking about the vote,.. but for those that take everything they read literally,...We don't get a vote on that.... that's something I have to negotiate with Jay...

New Aquatimer Non-chrono Rep Not On The Cards
Richard Tracy replied to Pugwash's topic in General Discussion
That's another one of the great aspects about this choice.. it can be made both ways..& I'm sure it will... This watch is our ticket out... I say take a ride... -
Don't worry.. it's coming.. We just have the stack the dominos just right,.. If this watch were first.. the stack be in mis-aligment and the line would end prematurely.. it's too top heavy.. To be honest, our 2nd request was supposed to be Total Dress... but I shifted it to Sports-Tool... just because of the all the drama over this Sea Hawk... So please... everyone.. have patience,.. All good things, that are good things, require Patience, & Timing

Urgent Connection Problem Help Request....
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in The looney bin
I appreciate your input,... and it may prove too much for me... but at this point, I still have hope,.. I just wish more people would see the potential in it, and be patient with the polls.. either that or submit some alternatives.. I was always taught never to complain unless I had a solution.. and I am open to any suggestion.. In no way am I ego tripping or playing this for any benefit but for the board.. Anyway getting back to the issue at hand... curious, do you think that this off shore hosting is giving my security settings more problems ? if so.. why just over the past week ? What settings do you suggest ? -
Urgent Connection Problem Help Request....
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in The looney bin
Hey.. thanks for the help... I'm working from home today... And yes,. it's been a nightmare...but I need to keep up .. too many are voting against me.. which brings out the best in me... -
I need the help of some web-computer saavy people... For the past week, I have been experiencing terrible connection problems to only rwg.cc. No matter the browser,.. Netscape,..I.E... or even Mozilla... Every other site I visit is fine... I am on Dsl... When I try to connect, if I see below it reads... {connecting to rwg.cc}... I will never get in.. it will come back giving me the 'timed out' message,.. however if stop the browser and try to reconnect,... I must keep trying until I see the '..{waiting for or transferring }... to know that I will connect. It take me 20 tries at least, then when I do connect,.. once on rwg.. I must do this again with every page that I wish to view....or even to post...or send e-mail... Any ideas ? Is this happening to anyone else ? I cleared my cache,.. to no avial... also changed the theme back to the pre-holiday one.. and still.. soo slow to handle... Help.. Please.. Someone...

Under the guidelines posted,.. you do qualify... Yes do become a paid member when you can.. but as far as the Rt forum, welcome you !
-
Dadog,.... I consider you a contributing member.... look at your post count .. Come on over....
-
I'm not going to pull it,.. as a matter of fact, my friendships on this board means more to me than this silly project,.. so I'm going to submit whatever three watches some in tops.... Let the chips fall where they may... We can always twist a few arms....
-
Coming from Jay,..The price difference alone is enough for it's submission...
-
With the utmost respect my dear John,.. I have been through this before with Neil... 1: Chose this Watch, it's Perfect, it's the One! 2: Does it conform to Jay's request ? No. 3: Well F*ck you then...The whole idea isn't going to happen,.. it's all a fantasy... and besides...you are all a bunch of sissies... Maybe it is just a dream... I'm much too old and experienced to place bets on the future of any project that I have to depend upon anyone else for it to come into life but myself. One thing I do know, is that we have never had the chance to come in on the ground level with a dealer and manufacturer before, so we can influence the process, Then if we are successful, we can do it again.. & again until we can order that perfect sub.. Just not now.... However,.. if this never happens.. so be it,.. at least it will be amusing to say the least,... and another drama to hope for, or against.. that is the stuff that makes rwg the place to be.. 4:

What I mean by underground, is it would not be one of those that was posted on his website... it would be like an mbw, word of mouth and board discussion only... As far as the reluctance,.. we can only follow the wishes of the investor-risk taker-dealer, and that request is for a never been released replica... What I find frustrating,... is how so many people can't see past the one watch they have in their mind at the moment,... If we can do what he wants the first few times, giving him recommendations on a few best sellers,.. that it will give us the connections to do what we want in the end... Lastly,..All this Fairy, Limp Wrist stuff has to stop...Not only is it pure, ism-bias, that our board is above, but the fact is,.. we are not asking our members to buy or wear any of these suggested watches.. we are only trying to find a watch that will sell to a block of people on the web.. not necessarily on our boards.. as our tastes are much more refined than the average joe...
-
Thanks Section8.. hey you can move into my neighborhood anytime... Regards to the Sub.. I will do my best to speak to him .. however as I said before it would have to be an underground project.. which means it won't be the first submission... this first one has to make Jay some operation cash to continue this line of operations..
-
We are not keeping anything from Jay,.. he visits the forum and knows what's going on... Just as a side question, would you gamble your whole business on the production of one watch ?
-
So where are the tallies ? Once calculated...I would love this pinned in the poll forum ... Thanks Puggy !
-
...poll what ? Deciding if we should take a chance to bring to life a watch of our choice ?? Participate or don't.. that's your poll...
-
Polls...?? What Polls ? If you are referring to the interactive photographic wish list,.. Then all you have to do is .. keep your mouse away from the link.... Don't bother it... and it won't bother you....
-
Sorry to hear that Neil,.... and you did meet every criteria but one, this first batch has to be an all occasion watch. With regards to the end result,... You may be right in the end, however at this point I still have a lot of faith in the think tank, and eyes we have here... I think most realize that this time around,..it's not about what they want personally, but what will sell,.. Knowing that if we do it step by step, most of us will get what we want, in time.. Good thing you have the money to buy the gen...Knew you did,... I saw your gen collection.. and it's amazing to say the least !

Post A New Release Poll & Win A Free Watch..
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
Wonderful T. Thanks !!! Also to AMK000 Okay.. two changes which I think will make some smile... 1. You can submit 44mm watches, If they conform to the Sports - Dress - All Occasion rule. Which means that the most important factors are case thickness and curvature. 2. If you contribute to the board, but are not a paid member,... you can still qualify ! There are more ways to give back.... a. Hold a Auction for one of your old watches, and donate the funds to the community ! b. If you have posted informative content. c. If you find creative ways to assist the board in some manner... Have fun....and good luck ! -
Post A New Release Poll & Win A Free Watch..
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
You may be right in most of what you say.... As for group buys.. I think I have that down now... I will most definately think about your words.... while at the same time keeping my optimistic frame of mind.... Hey Jetsons.... I would love to see a vintage watch made,.. however we would need a gen to model... and I think we will have place the vintage idea as the second or third option...as I believe Jay wants a new release for the sake of novelty, first release money, which I also believe would be a larger pot. In regards to the list suggestion from Jay... he wants it to come from the user end... as he sees us as the best source for what's hot....
