  1. If that were true then you would of seen him
  2. I know that the 40mm and Mare came with deployants first, or on the 40mm it was a butterfly rather than deployant. Heres the mare one I have seen 2 types myself that were pre-J, one had a fixed bar on the attachment to the strap the other had both being removable by a screw in the centre. I also know the polished ones were still brushed on the inside and the early ones on the synthetic straps (as thats what they were fitted too) had small serial/model numbers on the centre of the clasp inside by the tabs. I have not seen variations in the actual PAM engraving on the thumbnail myself. All the rep ones I have seen no matter how good to gen never finished the inside of the bars sitting in the middle. Or rather they have never been as well finished. I guess because its not something that draws your eye when looking over the clasp.
  3. Personally I think you might like the 104 ultimate mate Its a decent starter auto PAM without chronos etc
  4. Just a quite word upwards and a postive thought for Barbara and her recovery.
  5. I had hoped for a bite, but I will settle for a nibble
  6. I bet he sold it to him though....!!! Assuming he returned. Him no good but cash all good!!
  7. I cant say much about it..... I jut know its something to do with those pics you sent giving wristies a whole different meaning..
  8. I will send a PM mate
  9. If your serious mate, I will send you mine
  10. I have had various success with different variants. I dont know enough to say which ones to be honest. I had an old school case CB, that didnt fit, I had an ultimate CB from the cartel that didnt fit, but a couple of cheaper ones did. Hence why I got the 203 (this is a mega crap version but it had the CB, it was mineral but was visually better than feel) which did. I was told by a dealer he could source fiddies from 5 different factories so I guess its pot luck. D will know better than me.
  11. Now I know the one you mean!!!! Glad you got it sorted mate, of course thats the problem when using olive oil every reputable person worth his salt knows you need to use the Extra Extra Virgin olive oil when oiling your movement !!!!!
  12. Certainly a great rep deployant. Nice to see they have got the thickness right at last plus the shape of the pushers and recievers as well as the other improvements that have been mentioned. How is the fixing end single or double screw? Did you get tubes? As an aside does anyone definitively know how many variants there are of the gen deployant??
  13. I have only seen 581 and I think 492 but defo 581. I got mine from TswissT, he does them on a couple of his rep 203s so I guess most of the rep dealers can get them. The OP is for the 127 not 203 plus he does 2 versions one with OP etc one without OP but with S/N etc He aint a TD here though but I have used him. He usually can get most parts if not just get the watch and sell on.
  14. I really cant understand what the big deal is with these new version reps...???
  15. I always use scrunched up Duck tape
  16. To be honest he is probably very busy with my watch I have always found R & J to be very responsive and always reply no matter how stupid my emails are. Also R & J make sure to send out appointment reminders etc. So there is no excuse for not letting R know there is an issue with timing as when I asked exactly the same recently about moving my appointment they were completely OK with it. As for you Doc.....!! I guess no one has told you mate I know R wanted to do it gently
  17. Thats a nice watch and great condition, i like the style. I did exactly the same thing the other day and bought this, gave £10 for it. I have no idea why I did it as it aint my style!!! I have tried to find out about it, age etc but I have idea. I reckon early to mid 80s.....??? Needs a good clean
  18. I always liked this one,
  19. Mate thats simply lovely But as always the quality of those pics really show what makes this watch special Thanks for sharing
  20. Yes I have had some buckles and bits off him, I found him on eBay a while back. Found him very responsive and he accepted offers Fast delivery well packed stuff and sent a little flyer with other bits.
  21. I have just bought some lug screws and bars for my Bell & ross and just thought I would leave the link in case it can help anyone looking themselves. They also sell gen straps in all sizes. Downside is I think they only ship to EU so if you need an address in UK just send me a PM and I will forward the stuff to you. The NATO style B&Rs start at
  22. Well that all depends on which uniform you wear
  23. I hope that things get better soon my old mate As always you put it so much better than me I wish I could talk as god as english as what you does I agree with this watch certainly and generally but it was just something that struck me as I read your comment that we (as reppers) tend to automatically assume any AR on the 127 should be removed. I too have some great gen AR hue pics on my external hard drive so if you cant find yours I will get mine out... so to speak It would be good to show them as I think there is a misconception in that respect by most of us here.
