  1. Dont agree on the photos, really need to see those engravings.....
  2. You just want JV shots I have one unused and unmounted. Let us know if you want me to take some pics. You will find plenty for sale on Risti mate or from Bruce at 24/7.
  3. I think you also need to consider the economies that are poor and where watches are only known by name. I wont name countries but it doesnt take much thought to identify them. As with any high street you have the Harrods and the 50p shops. People shop where they can afford and/or buy what they like for personal choice. We are lucky that alot of us here benefit from a higher standard of living so our options are better than a lot of peoples who aspire to good watches and or accurate reps. In addition some people buy the Fuglies because they like the bling or the ridiculousness of it Most dont know its nothing like a gen model but it looks the part to them. Afterall I can recall just how many noob posts we see with some horrendous reps and the question....How accurate is this? Can I mod it?
  4. I just had a warning from RWI about this guy asking me if I had any dealings with him regardless of outcome to contact chief admin immeadiately. As for track numbers there are a lot of reasons these may not show up, apart from scammers, sometimes some tracking numbers wont show up until you have recieved the item because all the service provides is confirmation of delivery, now I dont mean Signed for like we have. So in Royal mail it will say no info available at this time but item arrives and look it up after and it say item delivered on.... Sometimes as T says its the website or its their own system, Deutsche post are notorious for this but I guess it applies equally to other countries postal services. So putting aside the individual circumstances I wouldnt worry to much if it didnt show up assuming the number has been passed over or copied down correctly. Good luck mate
  5. 312 All day for me. For me you lose at lot of the OP look with the 250, much too busy and just looks like a Chrono from any make The 312 has a clean dial lovely xtal all the traditions of OP for me with a really original look, Fifties style case thick crystal everything that makes me drool with PAMs And as a smaller point whenever I have had comments on watches its always my fifties style PAMs the dome Xtal etc. I have never had so many positive comments from people and especially from women, even strangers have remarked on my watch or pointed it out to thier husbands. And considering a lot of people think I look like I am going to rape or rob them , men and women!! I very rarely get anyone starting a conversation with me when I am allowed out... 312 everytime mate Hold on I just thought considering its you I suggest a J12 to go with those girlie wrists of yours also you wont have to take it off when your trawling the pornanet for those farmyard shots you like so much.....
  6. Got mine yesterday, Still playing with it but I do like it Fortunately no issues yet on OS4 on the 4 or my other 3G. Just wish Apple would of done something about the SMS message alert tones!!!!! I really hate the set choices!!! Its the main reason I alwas Jailbreak my iPhones. Though i will have a wait on the 4. Though i have seen some blogs claiming the Jailbreak for the OS4 on a 3Gs has been done already!!!
  7. I am not so sure myself. Now I am by no means an expert. and though the rotor beaing, the ETA marking, etc all look right. Whats throws me off is the part circled in my pic below The Asian is in the square highlighted area. The ETA is in the circled highlighted area to right. But as I say I am not sure
  8. Great work mate but the texture dont do it for me personally reminds me of Hammerite. Enjoy
  9. I was advised not to use a brush but the Cotton wool bud or Qtip I think you call it. As you soak it then squeeze so you havent a surplus of liquid almost dry/damp and let the chemical do the work as you roll it over the stain dont rub or put pressure on it, if that makes sense mate
  10. What is the paint mate, Oil based or water based. There are a few options and guides to removing paint from dials. You can usually do it ith a cotton wool bud and lightly go over it with a very diluted specialist thinner ( the sort modellers use) thinner (for waterbased) but its very delicate and you need to keep washing it off so it doesnt damage the original coat. Have a coton wool bud with clean warm water to take off the thinner. It is a dab gently rinse off. You sort of roll the bud and keep it to the area of the stain. If its oil then you have a problem my research didnt give me much hope. You cant paint over the oil based if you can match the paint as it leaves a sheen. Dont use CC mate I personally wouldnt, if you do try a small bit around a bud and again use a very light rolling motion. I will have a look at my favourites etc as I had quite a lot of info on this and spoke to quite a few modellers, diallers etc. I sent some of it to Bugs (Doc) he might have it still, as in the type of thinner to use. I say thinner but I think it was a special solution for removing a layer on layers of paint. Another place I got a lot of info was the Vintage watch and clock forums they were always dealing with paint removal from dials. The more I think about it the more I think CC would do a lot of irreperable damage I will have a look mate
  11. Well done Ray I know how concerned you were at trying your hand at this sort of thing and you have done a great job... Must be a good feeling mate. This is the first step mate.....Give it a few months and I will be sending my watches to you for modding
  12. There are plenty of dial makers out there mate just google it, usually its the reprinters of gen dials who do various made to order dial styles but you need to be specific in what you want and it wont be cheap. GL
  13. Mate, the persperation in that shows the inspiration from the man with no name.... Really looking forward to seeing the end product...Keep patient and keep at it mate....
  14. Love the texture on the dial mate And the touch up of the CG and lever really takes Oaks CG to another level... Congrats it was really worth all your effort mate....You must be pleased

If you just want a standard rep on,e then go to Watcheden today they have a 212 for $105, plus they are doing a $20 discount for fathers day. Voucher code is WatDpOR. Enter that when checking out. Then sell rest of parts. Thats the only suggestion I can make mate As D says there is nothing Aftermarket Unless of course you want a Gen one in which case I know a man
  16. Depends on the LH Cg. He had a few variations. Plus if its off one of his watches then its different again. His virgin ones came with the lever having a point so it could be shaped for the crown it was going on. I dont know with his current ones. Also the LH may have some history of being slightly modded by the owner at the time. Not sure which yours falls in. I have put LHs CG from one of his watches straight on a gen crown with no modding but of course it also depends on the position of the crown to the case. OPcrown had a run of crowns based on the Palps/Gens but with the choice of depths with gen thickness and teeth He suggested the LH VCG and gen were better on his shallower dish with all the others going on the deeper dish. As I recall it was 0.85 and 0.55 respectively But I am sure others here will know better than me
  17. Very nice work mate But shouldnt the women being putting this together for you As always F, great work and great skill. Congrats mate
  18. Thats a tall order mate Maybe you could try Vac, TB or one of the others who might have stock but unlikely TBH Just going to be a case of WTBs in trade section I reckon mate Or settling for an ultimate though it wont meet your full requirements. But Godd Luck mate
  19. Blokes got 2 on his feedback...he wont be worried about losing that. If you are happy with him as a seller and you really want the watches and are willing to pay more, why not offer a comprimise price thru Ebay arbitration. If not then walk away he wont worry about recourse if you pay and he dont send...which he wont !!
  20. Wow Thats lovely. I did look after you suggested but the King Power I saw on TT was blacker than that but thats a great shade and size....I like that very much Thankyou mate Thats very generous of you to share. Now I need to find one
  21. Thanks D So Germany as well !!! Yeah unfair but such is.... The All Black eh? Any idea what size that is as it must be over those 45 ones. Sorry mate I aint trying to thread crap, I hope you dont mind.....
  22. Hopefully youll get some help mate. Funny enough I have taken a fancy to the Hublot, I fancy the big one, I think there 48mm still trying to find one thats pretty accurate OTB but not having much luck. TBH It was watching the World cup that it took my eye. As Hublot are the official time keepers they have been giving away free ones to all the TV presenters. Its funny watching the panel sat there all wearing Hublots, breaks my heart!!! They get paid a fortune, get free 5 Star hotels and food plus expenses plus free tickets for all matches for family and friends plus they get free Hublots!!! And after all that most of them still talk complete rubbish. I only watch it know to see what models they are wearing!! I wonder if you guys in other countries have noticed your World cup presenters and pundits wearing them ? What a world Eh!!!
