  1. Easy way I found of blocking pop ups was downloading a pop blocker add on from my firefox menu but you can get addons like that for any web home page server... When I first logged back onto here before I upgraded my membership again I didnt get any pop ups only the ads... so I think my pop up blocker add on must have got rid of what you are seeing... I aint techy mate but i also think you can do it from your menu when you visit any page on internet.. There are plenty of guys on here that will know better than me.. but before they reply try the add on mate..
  2. I really have had a strong dislike of The Sevendayfriday watches..... I think its more to do with being more personally involved in when they first got started and released.... and seeing how they were being pushed... and the drivel coming from the guys selling them I am taken aback by how they have become popular especially in Asia.. and fell off my chair when i saw they were being repped... but hey each to thier own... who am I to criticise someone for having a different taste to me.... And there are of course many other watches I dont like simply because of my taste regarding its design etc... like we all do with watches or anything for that matter... but generally I dont have that dislike towards brands so much... But this is one brand I really do not like regardless of the watches or their designs....
  3. Personally I have always found the mods on RWI decent guys and also very patient when I have made selling mistakes in the past... Problem is always with any international community is that humour/cheekiness what ever you want to call it doesnt travel well.... and it can easily create an instant offensive or defensive response ... humour or the understanding of the translation of that humour into other languages or cultures can be a dangerous path and esily whats meant as a bit of fun can be taken the completely wrong way.... I think its better to remember the humour you meant to convey when typing rather than reacting negatively to someones misunderstanding... and a quick sorry and explanation is a quick resolution to any misunderstanding.. I always apologise if my humour does get taken the wrong way rather than question the other persons lack of understanding (which i aint saying is the case here) But all in all I always found it better to just hold your hands up and say sorry (whether I feel i am right or not) I aint into internet warrior or faceless bravado or getting myself worked up over and about something I only want to enjoy and benefit from.... All in all there are some great guys on any of the forums and there are some total twats... there are good mods and to a lesser extent some poor ones... For me its just a case of doing as your asked and if you disagree keep it to PMs other than that life is too short to make an enemy you will never meet let alone get yourself worked up over ... But thats me..
  4. Theres a new dealer well newish on RWI who will go searching the markets rather than just asking the makers or in sillix case checking behind his sofa !!! I cant recall her name but I think its Sam..... Or another really helpful guy is Ken or Warren from Chazing Time (Pyschospike on RWI) they have a guy that can source a lot of stuff... But you might also try Narika as I wouldnt be surprised if he can get one from the MBK mall...
  5. Generally UK insurance will cover any watch as long as you state them individually on your cover... naturally you get charged a premium for it usually works out about £20 a watch a year... for say a gen sub ....if you want home cover but about £50 if you want accidental loss and damage outside the home..
  6. Helenrou or Jackosntse or River... or Getatwatch They can all source Seagull parts but friendliest guy I found for those types of parts was the guy that sells Parnis on eBay
  7. Who's the leader of our gang and we all agree.....
  8. The term 'unusual' is used more to try and justify a watches price rather than its 'un-usualness' certainly in meeting the term unusual in horological terms...
  9. I applaud your language skills there Champagne (Charlie).... I dont know many guys that can contradict their first sentence with the first few words of their second...
  10. Your gonna get a DOS attack now...
  11. Always liked these models and the reps of these were like the Ferraris and very close to gen... well worth buying if one goes up for sale on the forums... But its a nice buy mate.... the orange to me on the Anonimo any of them are much more subtle than say the seiko monster or Sinn etc Congrats
  12. Its quite the thing now for watch guys to display their watches in wall mounted cases and especially in bespoke stands that are a small fortune on thier own and I aint talking about fancy watch winders these displays are works of art.. But if you have a large collection it dont matter where you have it a good blagger will find it.... the only thing that might slow them down is a decent safe..
  13. Dr Chrono on eBay gets a few every few months... or try Chrono24... Theres also so some other sellers on ebay that sell gen but the names escape me now... but theres a good few on there
  14. Over here it just means sharing.... But I should change that to being pedantic
  15. Got to say that watch is a bit mickey mouse mate....
  16. Avoid those Atlanta housewives though !!!
  17. You mean go 'Dutch' on the thread?
  18. Nice work mate...improves the look of that dial
  19. Hello mate... Glad to see you posting back here .... I hope you find the strength to keep on fighting and proving those docs wrong.. Take care mate Cheers
  20. A lot of dealers have stopped using it for new buyers or buyers with no real forum presence etc A lot of WU outlets are small type shops and the like and are not very experienced or knowledgeable at using the service... It can be very problematical... WU work to exact information.. even a letter or space out of place or a name the wrong way round (easy with Chinese names) will create an issue for the recipient when collecting... there are 2 forms that all WU outlets use one for sending one for receiving... where variations can occur is when the WU agent inputs the info into electrical transponder... if they over ride an error or fail to complete the input properly the funds can end up being sent technically but are in fact in limbo due to the error.. I always avoid WU as it doesnt end up really any cheaper once you pay the fees despite the seller giving a discount for using it... but if I do have to I always use either a WU office if possible (which it aint in most cases) or do it myself on line... that way i at least know if an error is made its my error and not someone elses... especially when they are inputting chinese names and addresses etc... Another thing I used to do was confirm the info sent by the dealer when recieved and write it out again in clear manner... so when they read it they can spot any errors as we have all done it when sending out info to others... for example first name rather than last name can be easily done etc etc The only consolation is that if you have completed the senders form correctly and you took a copy of that and the small reciept (that also has all info on it too) from the transponder then you can at least prove the error is with the agent..
  21. I dont get these Kickstarter watches...I have been seeing a few lately another i recall was the Airblue.. All sounds a lot of money for what is a pretty cheap watch with no brand strength.... assuming I understand the way the pricing works is right Certainly something i would avoid..
