  1. Now go make your own! We should have an unofficial bollywood sub-off!
  2. Thank you and Happy Holidays, Sash! I hope 2007 will be a prosperous year for you and your family.
  3. Amazing revealing video clip I stumbled upon when surfing for softcore porn. IWC Big Pilot in TTKs hands BTW: Get well soon, TTK
  4. No matter if they rep it sometime or not, (and no matter how much Richard Cohen writes) I would still love one. It's a great looking watch!
  5. Well then! After listening to some advice here, and looking at a dozen potential TV's, I finally went ahead and bought a 40" JVC LCD.. Tried it at home for 4 days now, and I must say I am very happy! I'm typing a little review here. First of all, the TV looks great in my living room, I opted for a 40" as I think huge TVs centered in a normal living room look a bit tacky. And having a lot of natural light through my windows, LCD was the way to go for me. Not caring about true HD yet, this is 1366x768 resolution. The speakers being below the screen was a must, and the cabinet should not be much more than 1000mm wide. Sound was important, as I wont connect it to an external system, and the JVC did not disappoint. Actually this must be the best sound I have ever heard out of a decently priced set. The silver lower part of the cabinet makes it look smaller, though it might make it look a bit dated in time. On the back there's this weird looking cable collector gate thing, probably great for people who hang these on their walls. Connections are plenty, 2 HDMI ports being what I was after, but I also use the 2 scarts and the VGA. I doubt most people will miss anything connection wise.. I have tried it with DVI-HDMI from my computer, and the picture is absolutely flawless. Looking at other non HD media, from my DVD-player and such, upscaling and interlacing has its flaws when you stand 1-2 feet from the TV, but sitting down 10-12 feet from it, it's close to perfect with a little settings tinkering. Colours are crisp, no detectable lag, all auto-scaling functions are there if you want it easy.. It was quite decent straight out of the box, but turning off the auto picture improvement and adjusting the contrasts levels made it that little bit better. All this being said; I am not a fanatic, I have a shoddy cable TV signal through a normal coax cable, and I was not expecting much from it when watching cable, but it impressed me! Noise reduction is serious business for JVC, and it looks like they got it right. All in all, this being a somewhat inexpensive TV, it does everything I want it to, and I am very very happy with my purchase. JVC's product page http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MOD...d=80&page=1 (Called LT-40S70BU in most of europe)
  6. Of course, they had to make a replica for people with just as bad taste, but less money.. Rolex Daytona Leopard Edition BTW, the genuine looks to be around $40,000 and up
  7. Well, it's one of the few 'historic' brands I would like to own.. You are in good company with a Breguet, fictional owners including Dr. Stephen Maturin in Patrick O'Brian's Master & Commander series (one of my favourite book series btw), Baron d'Anglars from Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo, Philleas Fogg from Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days and Eugene Onegin in Alexander Pushkin's Onegin
  8. Aye, Insane the very one! It would make me a little more like Dr. Stephen Maturin..
  9. Jeg fikser den i bytte med en viss lotterigevinst.. ..men jeg skal ha klokka før du får karaktèr! @Pugwash: Yorn desh born, der ritt de gitt der gue, Orn desh, dee born desh, de umn børk! børk! børk!
  10. Yeah, these guys throw out a rep now and then.. Among all the other [censored] they are selling they sometimes list an Omega, Panerai or TAG rep.
  11. YES! The draws for first knock-out round is done! FC Porto v Chelsea FC Celtic FC v AC Milan PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal FC LOSC Lille Métropole v Manchester United FC AS Roma v Olympique Lyonnais FC Barcelona v Liverpool FC Real Madrid CF v FC Bayern München FC Internazionale Milano v Valencia CF And trying to call any of them (my uneducated guesses underlined): Liverpool facing Barca.. Out of respect for my Liverpool supporting brethren I will not hand it to Barca, but I do feel Liverpool will have a hard time beating them twice.. I am sure they will put up a good fight, and a draw/small win at home is not that unlikely.. Liverpool are STRONG in Europe. I am quite happy with Arsenal drawing PSV, though they are by no means pushovers, it could be worse.. I think this is where Real Madrid says goodbye against Bayern München.. And Scum in their current form will creep through against Lille.. Celtic V Milan is a hard match to call, but fear the scots will take at least one beating, and it's how well the bhoys do at home that matters.. Lyon will probably knock Roma out, not too sure about this one.. As will Inter probably with Valencia, though this one is open to me.. Chelsea will go through, knocking Porto out.. There you have it, I am sure some or most of you will disagree, but it's what I'll put my money on come february..
  12. Yeah.. This was an old thread, but I did a search for Louis Bolle to see what you guys said about it here. I have read a lot of pros and cons around the net now, (a lot of them in this blog http://www.fratellowatches.com/archives/20...6/another-scam/ ) , and I am tempted to buy a $80 S.U.G Nautilis or a Louis Bolle of some sort. I find them beautiful watches, but there's still the question of the movement. S.U.G automatics are listed on ebay with citizen movements, but has anybody here actually bought one and could comment on these? Of course, the MSRP of $3000 is a laugh, but not caring about their marketing strategy I don't mind.
  13. Pout your lips, assume the Stallone stance and go "PAN-ÆHR-EYE"
  14. I like how massive the 24/24 pre-V looks.. Speaking of which, where can I get me a couple of cheap pre-v buckles?
  15. Using it on the boat as a daily beater, I lost my SMP GMT pearl too.. I wish I didn't. It's probably resting on the seabed outside Lofoten in northern norway somewhere. ..kinda ironic when you think about it, fake pearl and all. I'll post pics of my SMP when it's 18 months old.. It wont be pretty.
  16. Thanks guys. Well, I might try him out sometime.. There's just something about having a nice 'hommage' watch.
  17. I've seen a few references to IWI hommage watches and such, and Chris5264's mentioned them a couple of times. Anybody actually bought watches from them? Are they just our dealers' reps with a new name slapped on the dial? They do look very good on the site, most 'Panerais' with a goodish grown and nice dials. I also like the shiny PVD look. Are their prices competitive? The names on our reps don't bother me, but I might like a no-name hommage watch as a curiosity sometime.. http://www.internationalwatchman.com/home.html
  18. I actually kind of called my cousin out on a fake A.Lange & Söhne this weekend.. I didn't mean to do it, I just noticed a tourbillon looking watch on his arm, and I knew he was into watches a while back. So I asked him what he was wearing. He looked at me and said "It says A. Lange on the dial...." Knowing I would understand.. He's a wealthy guy, but he'd never fork out that much on a watch. So I asked if I could see it. It was obviously a fake, with an exposed balance wheel and cheap looking hands and movement. I showed him my Pam 250, and he was impressed, he'd never seen a Panerai replica or genuine, and he fell for it. I told him about this place, and he might show up here one of these days. We sat discussing watches for a while, nice to know I am not the only one with this affliction in the family. oh btw, while we were talking about watches, a girl we know suddenly stuck her arm out and showed us her Rado replica I guess replicas are everywhere!
  19. I don't know if this is the BEST way, but it's how I do it: I use Nero Burning Burning ROM 7. Just create a DVD-project and you burn up to 2 hours of your TV-shows to a DVD that can be played in most players. If you have a DivX-compatible DVD-player you just burn the shows to a DVD as .avi data files and thus get room for 4,2 GB or so without having to think about the length of what you are burning. I don't know how much you know about these kinds of things, Usil, but at risk of stating the obvious: Most torrent clients have an option to limit the bandwith up/down, so you can keep it running in the background. -TG-
  20. The Porto - Arsenal game was a sorry display of lack of interest.. Porto had the chances, but neither team seemed interested in attacking full out. We've seen it a few times in the world cup and such. Makes for boring and weird games, but I guess with so much at stake, you do what you can.. ..and what you manager tells you.
  21. Lyon - S.Bucuresti 1 - 1 Hamburg - CSKA Moskva 3 - 2 Milan - Lille 0 - 2 Anderlecht - AEK Athen 2 - 2 Porto - Arsenal 0 - 0 Copenhagen - Celtic 3 - 1 ManUtd - Benfica 3 - 1 D.Kiev - R.Madrid 2 - 2 That's it then! http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/index.html For final tables..
  22. Yeah, with 10 points! That's gotta hurt. But they had a decent tournament, and deserve the respect they get.
  23. Roma - Valencia 1 - 0 Olympiakos - S.Donetsk 1 - 1 PSV - Bordeaux 1 - 3 Galatasaray - Liverpool 3 - 2 Bayern - Inter 1 - 1 Sporting Lisboa - S.Moskva 1 - 3 Barcelona - Werder Bremen 2 - 0 Chelsea - L.Sofia 2 - 0 Galatas beating liverpool with nothing to play for, Barca going through and Chelsea securing the group win Barcelona's first half was GREAT, loved the football, and Gudjohnsen looked every bit as lethal as he can be in his good games My Arsenal playing for keeps tomorrow, having to at least draw against Porto. Henry does not want to leave, but is disappointed about what looks like an injury due to dings and dents and fatigue. He might be rested til over new years, but with his somewhat poor form lately, it might be a good thing for the young ones having to step up and show that he's not Arsenal. Last game day in 2006 tomorrow, and the KO stages start feb 20. Anything can happen from there on in!
