That's true. Luxury and value are interesting domains and I reduce them to merely being to what an individual really perceives. Personally, I could never buy a gen Pam again after seeing the quality of some our reps. I am a fan of the 111 you see.

Sorry buddy, RM have not been repped with much passion yet.

He did more than that, In 2007 he took a major part in creating a stage play specifically for IWC called "Leo and Lisa".

Agreed, the Messi version was stunning.

44MM AP ROO SS REP vs GEN Comparison
Lobster replied to Sbybbuser's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Late to this thread but never late to say 'THANK YOU' for posting this. I agree with fellow members that we nitpick a lot naturally, and rightly so in many cases. But judging from that side-by-side, the 44mm SS is absolutely well replicated. -
This will now justify high prices for our own gen parts and prompt 'count yourself lucky it was only 4 digits' marketing in the sales subforums But yeah, that is an insane price but somebody knows more and REALLY wanted to have some vintage Pepsi.

Women steals Rolex by hiding it in her lady purse

The watch sure does live up to the oyster reputation. -
Three Noob 111s at a mini GTG in Frankfurt, Germany.

Looks fine. But go with the Noob 111 instead. One of the best pam reps ever made, and a classic in the gen game too. http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=35_52&product_id=87 I am another one who couldn't understand nor stand Pams when I first saw them. Then a friend let me try on his gen 000, I wore it for a few hours and I was sold. It's the closeness you build with the watch, from winding (if manual), the fit, the style, the uniqueness of the cg etc. Oh and as nobody mentioned it already STRAPS!!

oh sweet Lord haha yes!! for a sec i thought it was a D&G watch

You get a welcome from me. When something is 'new' to people of course you are defensive at first. As you will see the people here are not out to con anyone. In fact most of us press the alert button on the net if anyone is trying to deceive anyone else. Apart from that, you will meet amazing individuals here with a real and sincere passion for watches. Many gen owners here too who have had their veil lifted to other passionate watch collectors who simply enjoy specific designs, watch movements, changing straps and generally looking for ways to elevate their love for watches to a high level.

I read once, I may be mistaken, that WatchAnish himself started off in the rep forums and then later became this IG watch God. Any truth in that?

Tried the gen on last week just to see whether I like the size. F U ^ %, not only did it sit very well, the FC was too stunning. I cried when I realised I had to give it back. I will be ordering this soon.

I know, it sucks. Although there are so many non-Cuban options with impeccable taste that it doesn't really have to be a big shame.

Right now the Diver for sure. The 15400 isn't bad and most people won't doubt it but there are a few nibbly things

A lot of v3.5s on sale these days, grab one. It's a legendary rep watch.

Yeah, fragrances are awesome and an expensive hobby too. It has become less genderised over the years and more houses have been making 'unisex' fragrances to cater for this. Like in our watch world, fragrances are divided into designer type scents and niche scents. The prices of niche scents such as Creed go for beginner rep watches whereas some of the more exclusive ones such as Amouage and Xerjoff can go into the 300s. I think it's a lifestyle choice, niche fragrances are affordable gen luxuries and compliment different occasions greatly alongside a nice rep and outfit.

15400 RO from Angus worth the wait?
Lobster replied to maevit4996's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Very important to have proper AR as well. Angus confirmed that the factory will release them to us with appropriate colourless AR. This will be useful for the black and blue dials respectively.
