Great choice Freddy!!! My 1675 is back with a tiny facelift; the H,M,S hands were replaced with CWP hands (better matching lume tone) and the stock GMT hand was aged.

Hi Pre V, Thanks for the kind words! I believe Yukiwatch is selling the same dial as J&W, the homeplate indices are a little too small and the giveaway but there aren't many other options. I'm told the crystal on my J&W 7032 is gen. As for the bezel, the acrylic 7031 is more accurate than the steel 7032 but I personally like the cleaner appearance of the 7032. If you're patient you can find a gen bezel on VRF or ebay, just depends what you want to plunk down for it -I've seen the steel sell for $600-$800. You won't be disappointed with this watch! Very solid watch and has the superb VJ7734 powerplant.

Looks like you're off to great start YM! Looks like a 7030 crown. 7020 tubes are very hard to find or cost a left nut when you do get a line on one. I'll be eager to see your finished project. Keep us posted.

Thanks guys! I had this one made for wearin, now if it was gen PAV or Dirk ( Ubi) with PVD hardware I would probably keep it stashed away too.

Here's a pix from Zack @ Red12 Straps of a frankenstrap that's in the mail to me -can't wait to mount it on my 009. This was a community project for sure; the logo buckle was from Rolexfinder's MX strap, it was then sent to Avitt for a DLC coating (really amazing results!) and finally to Oldskool/Red12 to be resewn into a Toscana Arruginito PAV style strap. Again, I'd like to say a big thank you to all the players for making this happen and giving me a nice PAV inspired logo strap for my 009. It's going on my FGD dialed Pre-A 009:

Have to agree tan PAV is a classic! Otherwise tan to cognac colors seem to pop the most. Here's an inbound frankenstrap that I had Zack(Red12) put together for me -this will be going on my Pre-A 009. I thought the new Dirk olive/brown shark would be nice but the color is too chocolate and seems flat paired with the PVD -just my 2 cents.

It sure looks at home Jojo! I just received my order too and modded one of them with a self keeper. A cool little discovery I noted.... the buckles are the spring bar type so you can swap it out with a signed buckle on the 18mm strap.

Nope, the 1665 is a completely different case compared to a 1680; thicker case, taller bezel, different crystal and has a HE valve (fake of course). Below is a pix of my MBW 1665 (w/ a Tropic 39 Superdome) compared to my gen Tudor 7016 (close to a 1680 case) that might give you an idea of the difference.

Unkind, If you're referring to the MBW 1680 or 1665's dials being more correct than there "red" counterparts you'd be correct.
