  1. I do have quite a few TT watches and also over the years owned a few full gold ones. Although I like the look of them, I rarely wear them. In every day life, I'm more of a sporty / steel guy. one of the reps... one of the gens...
  2. I remember that Silixx has it with the Jubilee band. I don't know any out-of-the-box Vintage GMT that would pass the test without some serious mods. On the other hand, to test the waters one of these cheapos will probably do..
  3. @Kruz... I still remember Olli's watch.... now we know how it was done... @Francisco... another beautiful mod. Thank you very much for your time and efforts...
  4. Thank you.... I have a lot of respect for Pugster's skills but I earn some of my income as a graphics artist so I can draw from own experience...
  5. The whole concept of regular servicing is done to avoid things breaking....
  6. This one has not left my wrist ever since I got it from Namor last week.... (thanks Mate!) This 7753 is sooooo precise - it has only lost about 15 seconds in a whole week... I just love it
  7. great minds think alike, I guess....
  8. Thanks..... the strap is my favorite PAM strap, a BOB Marino Barillo Brandy. I have a gazillion straps from no-name to Mario Paci but this one is both great looking, very comfy and not too expensive at about 75$.
  9. Poor Rolli.... his signature will take him a week to update...
  10. Am I just having a bad day or did the new forum software break all links in signatures?
  11. Sunday...and I was playing with my latest toy.... enjoy
  12. You can get these at any AD, watchmaker or store that sells straps. Might be quicker than waiting for someone to send you one. Just don't take the rep along.
  13. Well then, congratulations Dad... on the two new additions to the family....
  14. When it comes to Rolex vintages, you're in a league of your own...
  15. That's the swimmsuit edition for AP fans... Thanks Tanfo...
  16. I have the Carlos Coste, I like big watches and I'm a tall, big guy but I also find this size ridiculous, especially in combination with a thick case like this. On the other hand, if the watch is used for the purpose it was built for (e.g. diving), then size comes in handy as it is easier to read underwater. Having said that, maybe 10% of all divers watches sold are used for their original purpose...
  17. As I posted elsewhere, I did not like the new look. Aside from just not "feeling" it, it reminded me too much of the other repsites where I am also a member since many years but rarely seen because - among other things - I am not feeling comfy with the look of their forum frontends. I have all mayor browsers (in latest versions) on my machine but I mostly use Opera (9.64 - Build 10487) and on that I had freezes with both the initial two skins of the new software. I am currently using the "RWG revival" skin and so far it works without problems. From the three skins, it's my favorite by far.
  18. While I do understand the need to move to a new version of the forum software to accomodate increase in membership, security issues et al... I have to say that I don't like the new look & feel at all. Right now, I feel like a stranger in my own house...
  19. Hi Bill, long time no read. Old habits die hard, don't they?
