Good review, thanks for sharing. The Millgauss is growing on me... ever since i had the chance handle the gen of a friend of mine a few weeks ago....must...resist...must....
OMG! the famous single red Sea Eweller.... There are only 3 pieces in the world. When Rolex did the first run of dials, they didn't realize that the guy who did the work was a dyslexic. Only three pices where actually shipped to dealers before they corrected the mistake. This is true Antiquorum stuff... should bring more than Naul Pewman's Dotona....
Nice job.
To me, this is really the fun part of collecting reps. I would never mod one of my gens but I have over the years done a lot of work on my various reps, increasing my skills and trying new tricks every time. If I fail (and sure enough I have) it's not the end of the world. I pick up the pieces and start all over again.
Looking at my collection over the years, most of them have black dials. I do own a few of the usual suspects - SFSO, Expl II and this one, which needs to be in this list:
I recently changed the crystal on my MBW1680 Red Letter to a Clarks. I had to carefully sand the inside of the retainer ring to widen it a tiny bit. It is no big deal if you take your time....
By the way Rani, I never got to say thank you for providing both the IWC and the AP Wallpapers. Beautiful pictures and good references... so THANK YOU!
