@ronin007 bro your build looks like yesterday was 1974. Very nice!
Here is an update on mine. It looks more like its been outside a lot over the last 45 years and would be on the latest of many plexi exchanges. Now has gen insert, gen 93150 clasp, waiting on a tube for a gen 703 crown. Aged the lume plots. First pass of crown guard work done. One more to go. Reapplied the DWO and added a Clark 127 Plexi.
I have bought this one for my wife and the quality is excellent! Case and movement dimensions are accurate as I have installed a gen 049 dial in hers.

The new cartel 93150 bracelet is pretty decent imho. As it is for endlinks, go for WSO
+1 on the WSO end links. I picked up a pair of their 580 links for fat spring bars and they worked greatv for my MBW 1680.
Here is a better pic. I tried a set of gen 501b and they sit way below the top of the lugs.
This is still the 580 from wso
The color scheme and orange split seconds reminds me of the Monte Carlo. This is a very attractive watch and running the tried and true 7750. At over $3300 I would more likely buy something from the Tudor lineup.
I have avoided the question though. Would I buy a raffle ticket for a chance at this beauty?
YES!
Here is the kit I have set up for mine. The traditional Tudor stripe, leather NATO, Jubilee with old gen USA big crown and rep 71n end links, 7836 folded link with WSO 580 end links Tudor buckle from a m2m sale.
The folded link and Jubilee get the most wear. I think the jubilee has the greatest gen feel of the bunch!
A few more...
I have lightly aged an aftermarket insert for now. I dont know about you guys but the insert that came on mine was a total waste. But hey, we dont buy MBW because of the great insert. Or crown. Or dial. Or ...
I have a greatly distressed gen flat 4 fatty from Sub007 inbound to see where it takes my build. Still no changes to mine beyond the insert. Going to take my time and enjoy the process.
Nice start Stormtrooper. I have a new insert cooking for mine too. Trying to keep from taking it apart and starting full on mods! Think I would like to wear it for a few days before sploding it. These are going to be great fun!
My 1680 also arrived today. Have already Drilled the lugs to 1.25mm. Let the modding begin! Plans for this one include: CGs shaped, gen plexi, gen crown, gen insert, silver date wheel, upgrade dial.
For those who have been wondering, she has a 2836 inside.
I replaced my HR bezel with one from Clark watch on ebay. They are very good but require polishing before install. Very accurate and accept gen insert np.
