I had a similar issue with a WM9. I removed the bezel and gave it a good cleaning. Still didn't work properly.
In the end, I removed the spacer and now it works fi e.
You might as well have whomever is reluming the watch look at it.
Congrats on the new purchase.
Great looking watch. I just picked one up myself with similar mods. Cant wait to get it. Although tempting to add a 1570, at one point, there has to be a limit.
I just picked up a Bergeon 5555/98 water pressure tester. I figured over time, this baby would save me money and pay for itself. I travel and swim a lot.
I followed the instructions and the first watch I tested was a Spinmaster already water tested Daytona. Spin tests these to 3 ATM. I did observe some bubbles around the pushers and top of bezel - nothing continuous but a few bubbles.
Is this normal or do I have a problem?
Next up, a Ceramic Sub C sealed up and greased by PBDad. No guarantees from PB. A couple of bubbles around the bezel then nothing. This one looks good to me.
I will go throughout the watch box later.
Ay input would be appreciated for the Daytona.
Thanks
Congrats! DO these guys read the forums???? How simple it would be to build one to genuine 1:1!
Also, why can't anyone properly reproduce a Valjoux 72 movement? All the ins and outs to get around design issues could be solved so easily - i think!
I will be listing my bezel assembly as soon as I have pics. Insert, bezel, spacer and click spring. No retainer ring. All gen.
Aftermarket can be found on flea bay.
I've been drooling over the many v72 Daytonas that have been shown off in recent months.
What's a fair price for a v72 movement? What exactly should I be looking for or avoiding?
Thanks for your input.

Congrats. To start, a gen insert, crown and tube make a huge impact.
After that, some will opt for a gen crystal. Your dial should be spot on - likely Superlumed if you took that option. To find a gen dial would put the cost way up there.
